In 3 years, 67 women died in homeless hotels and bnbs in Scotland. Women are preyed on, abused, and traumatised. We desperately need single-sex emergency accommodation and serious action to fix Scotland's collapsed homelessness system. Thank you @AshReganALBA for raising this!

Public housing + functioning homeless services including safe emergency accommodation for women + families with children make women less vulnerable to violence and predation. The thugs targeting campaigners are linked to crime and exploitation and the State will make use of them.

I spose the brave patriots commenting are equally confrontational standing up to organised crime, the real scourge of our city and source of violence, exploitation, and drug deaths...
Is the far right a threat to the establishment? Or a convenient excuse? Council officials tell me it is not possible to create more safe specialist accommodation for homeless women because the far right would burn it down.

Really distressing to view this as survivors and a campaign. We're fed up of the weaponisation of our pain in the name of "protecting women". If this is how they act on the streets, it horrifies us to think how they are behind closed doors.

cieem.net/cieem-raises-conce… All of Scotland's environmental agencies are set to be merged costing jobs, funding, and vital conservation programmes. Will the @scottishgreens be mounting an opposition to this?
I don't disagree that adults should model respect for consent re: physical contact with kids but institutional violence and neglect are normal. Women and children are trafficked and preyed on while think-tanks spend public money on campaigns like this. Class divisions are stark.
The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre has taken down three online video advertisements related to its 'We Consent' campaign, following criticism of one advert in particular rte.ie/news/2026/1022/159643…

A date instead of milk.

A former SNP Housing Minister is attacking his party colleagues in Holyrood and Glasgow over Scotland's housing crisis.
As things stand the Scottish Government's on track to miss its 2032 housebuilding target by nearly a third.
Meanwhile Glasgow City Council is this year expected to spend £82m on hotels and B&Bs for the homeless. That's as it tries to fill a £110m funding gap over two years.
Alex Neil says funding should be moved from lower priorities - such as cycle lanes - to building houses. He's also calling for @hp_scotland's unauthorised night shelter to be allowed to stay open.
