Today’s @awscloud outage was a reminder of how much of crypto still relies on centralized infrastructure.
Most crypto apps and tools still depend on AWS and similar cloud providers. But the best DeFi systems kept running as usual (including some of our favorite protocols @VelodromeFi and @aeroxyz) whose front-ends are fully on-chain and have zero centralized dependencies.
That’s what real decentralization looks like. When it’s built right, it’s immune to centralized outages like this.
