Plot results starting to come out and surprisingly some pretty decent yields for the tough season that we’ve encountered just a testament to our Growers and they’re willingness to stick to a plan make adjustments were necessary. There will be more coming from this plot as we also looked at different populations from 20,000 to 32,000.

2026 may be remembered as a monumental shift in how farmers think about soil health and what’s been taken from them by the monopolistic fertilizer cabal.
Yes, universities were in on it too.
70¢+/lb nitrogen. $500+/ton potash. $900+/ton phosphate.
Ironically, those prices may go down as some of the greatest champions for soil health agriculture has ever seen.
Not because high fertilizer prices are good, but because they finally forced different thinking.
Instead of asking, “How much fertilizer do I need to apply?”
Farmers are starting to ask:
“How much fertility is already in my soil, and why am I not accessing it?”
That question threatens an entire business model.
Come out and join us on September 1 at the Pioneer Plainview research center to celebrate 100 years of innovation in the Corn seed industry we will highlight new hybrids built for West Texas grain sorghum new technologies and share experiences with agronomists and Growers like yourself

Do # of rows around matter????
It is the kernel counting season for those excited (or concerned) about yields this fall.
While rows around is part of total kernels and the yield equation, some VERY high yielding hybrids often times have 14-16 rows around.
Kernel size/weight is a HUGE factor in the yield equation and many of today's Pioneer hybrids have what we refer to as kernel flex.
Kernel flex allows for larger & heavier kernels during favorable weather & high nutrient availability late into grain fill. This is why the "divide by" factor is so important.
While seeing 24 rows around the other day excited me... keep in mind the world record holding hybrid of 14830 typically has 14-16 rows around.
Check out the 2025 summary of average rows around in EC IA.
So don't be concerned if you are seeing some 14-16 around ears and your neighbor is bragging about 20+... the yield can still be there!!
Contact your local Pioneer Sales Rep with questions and your "divide by" # in your yield estimates.

Late-season nitrogen efficiency is where bushels are won or lost. Tomorrow morning, Sean Nettleton and Mason Claude are breaking down what's actually preventing your crop from using the nitrogen it already has. And what to do about it before the window closes.

Your corn's at tassel. That's the window where nitrogen becomes yield, or doesn't.
Join Sean Nettleton and Mason Claude this Friday as they break down what's actually happening inside the plant right now and what you can do about it before the window slams shut.

Palmer amaranth can quickly get ahead in grain sorghum. Post-emergence herbicides work best when weeds are small. Learn more: agronomy.k-state.edu/eupdate… #kstateagronomy
Adding relax, RX and amino to your cotton herbicide program will build stress tolerance and provide critical nutrition that helps the plant not only metabolize herbicides, but shift energy production to yield production
What if the farm you bought in the last 10 years still had value left in the soil? Residual fertility may qualify for a Sec180 tax deduction. If you’ve purchased ag land in the last 10 years, it may be worth a look. Give us a call
85Y88 is rocking and rolling. Look at those tillers. This sorghum hybrid can flat out yield in west texas @PioneerSeeds
Now that crops are established & moisture looks more favorable heading into summer, timely decisions matter. Growers using real-time moisture probe data are improving irrigation timing, nitrogen efficiency, and yield potential. Let the crop tell you what it needs. Give me a call.
Bioboost Corn really enhancing early roots for better nutrient and water uptake to help handle stress all season long.
86R138 is up and looking great on this light water pivot shared with cotton goal is to get it to do its thing and move water over to cotton in late July early August and maximize both crops. @PioneerSeeds
If you have some time, send up some prayers for my daughter she’s been in the hospital for the last few days dealing with migraines and we can’t figure out what’s triggering them and struggling with relief options
Variable Rate Seeding trials going in the ground in West texas. Lots of data to crunch this fall as we learn more than we ever have with our new product lineup and how these genetics perform in our limited water environment
