yield basis ($YB) solved impermanent loss. 7 months live, $277m TVL, zero security incidents, fees grew 6.7x during the february crash when the token dropped 44%. counter-cyclical revenue from a working product. market cap is $10.6m. that's a 26x TVL to mcap ratio. the reason it's priced like a dead project is michael egorov has $73m in personal trading losses and a $140m liquidation event where the curve community ate $10m in bad debt. the tech is real. the discount is entirely one man's inability to stop trading with leverage. 127% token supply increase by january 2027 makes this even uglier near term. brilliant protocol held hostage by its founder's margin calls

To all of you curve fanboys here’s some food for thought on Curve and Egorov Two years after the $100M loan and mansions… The protocol actually works. This is the part most criticism gets wrong Q3 2025 numbers: $29B in trading volume, $7.3M in protocol revenue, $2.3B TVL and roughly 44% of all Ethereum DEX fees over a 30 day window at year end By DEX fundamentals, Curve is top tier That makes what comes next worse, not better CRV is at $0.21. Still down 98% from the cycle highs Annualize Q3 revenue: ~$29M Annual emissions on the current schedule: 115.5M CRV per year, cut from 137M in August At $0.21, that’s ~$24M of sell pressure every year The protocol generates ~$29M in fees and mints ~$24M in dilution to LPs Net to the average CRV holder who didn’t farm: nothing The math gets worse when you look at who holds the veCRV Convex liquid lockers hold over 40% of veCRV. Yearn and StakeDAO take more Egorov and Swiss Stake hold roughly 15% directly 100% of swap revenue routes to veCRV That means Egorov’s personal share alone pulls something on the order of $4M-5M per year in fees, before counting Yield Basis, before any token appreciation Retail CRV holders capture once again zero of that flow September 2025 Egorov launches Yield Basis. Raises $5M at $50M FDV and it gets 15x oversubscribed Then he goes to the Curve DAO and proposes minting $60M of crvUSD - Curve’s own stablecoin, to seed three Bitcoin pools running on his new private protocol Curve mints $60M crvUSD as a community liability Pools run on Yield Basis. His protocol… 35-65% of YB revenue routes back to veCRV 25% of YB tokens reserved for the Curve ecosystem Read it twice The Curve community provides $60M of stablecoin liquidity to bootstrap his new venture, and the consolation is partial revenue share from pools that wouldn’t exist without that capital It passed because Egorov controls enough voting power that the outcome was decided before voting opened April 2025. Egorov relocks all his veCRV for the maximum 4 years, until 2029 The 30% team allocation - 900M CRV vesting over 4 years - finished distributing in August 2025 He already pulled what he wanted out via loans and OTC during the unlock window. What’s left got locked into governance. Locked CRV votes the same as unlocked CRV The cash was extracted years ago. The residual is now permanent control of the protocol The May 2025 vote nobody talks about Egorov asks the DAO for a $6.2M Swiss Stake AG grant. Rejected. 54.46% against Yearn and Convex coalitions made up roughly 90% of the opposition That was a real moment. The community said no Months later: revised proposal, 17.45M CRV (~$6.6M) for the same entity. Approved Founder lost a vote, restructured the ask, got the money anyway This is governance in name only DeFi just hasn’t built the infrastructure to call it what it is Until emissions drop below revenue, until veCRV concentration breaks, until the founder stops routing community capital into personal ventures, CRV is a sell on every meaningful rally You can like Curve the protocol and short CRV the token at the same time. Both are true
Curve's founder pulled $100 MILLION out of his own token to buy two Australian mansions and left holders with a token that dumped 98% In 2023 Curve Finance founder Michael Egorov took out $100 million in stablecoin loans across Aave, Frax, Inverse, Abracadabra and other protocols His collateral was 427 million CRV, which was 47% of the circulating supply of his own token Lookonchain traced $31 million in stablecoins flowing from Egorov to Bitfinex in April 2023 One month later his wife bought a $41 million mansion in Melbourne, right next door to the $18 million home they had purchased the year before That's $59 million in Australian real estate funded by loans against the token his own community was holding In July 2023 Curve was hacked for $70 million through a Vyper bug, CRV crashed and his positions almost got liquidated A liquidation would have created tens of millions in bad debt across Aave, Frax and other protocols and triggered a DeFi wide catastrophe To avoid this Egorov sold 106 million CRV in OTC deals at $0.40 per token, well below the market price, to a roster that included Justin Sun, convicted felon Michael Patryn, Jeffrey Huang, DWF Labs and several anonymous wallets He raised $42 million in stablecoins from these deals while community holders watched CRV dump In April 2024 he had to do it again, selling another 159 million CRV in OTC to 33 different buyers for $63 million In June 2024 CRV crashed 24% in 3 hours and he got fully liquidated for $140 million across 5 protocols The liquidation created $10 million of bad debt that the community had to absorb Ethereum developer Eric Conner did the math: "He got 100 million in stables out of a 140 million CRV position. He just transferred the rektage to the community instead" Egorov's response was that he was "committed to building Curve more than ever" thanks to veTokenomics, meaning he locked his remaining CRV to keep control of governance CRV is down 98% from its all time high and Egorov still owns the two mansions and the protocol When the founder of your protocol uses your bag as collateral for his mansion, you're not an investor You're his ATM

UPDATE #2: As predicted, $YB is now trading at the Binance sale price of $0.10 🥺 On April 1st about 10.5m YB tokens become🔓for devs and investors, and by January 1st 2027 total unlock will be ~200m tokens 😬 Like I mentioned before: the real risk here for $crvUSD is once staked YieldBais LPs start withdrawing their BTC as the token APR is no longer worth the risk. Note: 60%+ of all $BTC on deposit in @yieldbasis is staked! This means most LPs are not interested in the trading fees, but simply farm-dump the YB emissions as long as there is exit liquidity from retail. This doesn't end well..... $CRV $cbBTC $wBTC $tBTC
UPDATE: $YB down another 12% to a new ATL 📉💥 Fun fact: @newmichwill started dumping on first day of YB listing lol Saying “I need money for bills” after borrowing close to a $100m of stablecoin against his $CRV on AAVE and then getting liquidated, is the most insane thing I have heard in all my years of being in crypto🤡😆 xitter.cf/kornik_crypto/status/1… 🫠 $crvUSD

🚨 THE BIGGEST CRYPTO MYSTERY HAS FINALLY BEEN RESOLVED. Who crashed Luna and UST to 0 and brought down the entire crypto market in 2022? Jane Street. The same Jane Street accused of "10AM manipulation" also front-ran the 2022 Terra collapse. In February 2026, the Terraform Labs bankruptcy administrator filed a lawsuit in Manhattan. They accused Jane Street of causing the Terra collapse. For those who don't remember, UST depegged in May 2022. This caused LUNA to hyperinflate due to its mechanism, and $40B was wiped out within days. Later, the same collapse had a domino effect, which started a brutal crypto winter. As per the lawsuit, UST depeg was a smart playbook by Jane. Here’s the timeline outlined in court: • In May, Terraform quietly pulls 150M UST liquidity from Curve • Minutes later, Jane Street allegedly dumps 85M UST • Panic spreads • Depeg accelerated, and a collapse happened. The complaint also claims Jane Street had advance knowledge via a private group chat called “Bryce’s Secret.” A Jane Street trader who was a former Terraform intern and provided insider information. But that's not all. The suit alleges Jane Street: • Avoided $200M+ in losses • Profited during the meltdown • Positioned themselves while retail was wiped out Jane Street has denied everything and called the lawsuit “baseless.” But the timeline indicates that Jane Street maybe behind all this. And this begs a very important question. What if the real culprit behind the October 10th crash is also Jane Street?

We are no longer in the era of “build it and they will come” especially in a market oversaturated with new products. Labs is a prime example: strong technical foundations, but everything else poorly managed, (abused and neglected by the very team who are now behind the FT raise). Now even @AndreCronjeTech (the former CTO) has openly stated that the tech lacks key features and isn’t up to par for FT to deploy there. Who wouldve thought it would be Andre that would hammer the last nail! Wild! Yet once again, Andre is building and expecting users to come purely because of the tech. The arrogance is insane. When you actively dismiss your community, and go as far as blocking long-term supporters for asking legitimate questions about the state of your previous projects (and builders for no apparent reason), you destroy trust. And without trust, people won’t commit meaningful capital. At best they’ll throw in small amounts and treat it like a shyt coin play with zero long-term conviction. Time and time again, the power of community is underestimated. But communities move markets. When enough people collectively choose not to support something, no amount of technical brilliance can compensate. especially if your late to the party. Post below 17hrs in, only 97 likes for a half mil X following, the fud underneath 85, let that sink in!

Its all good until @SECGov jumps in to investigate whole project and especially @AndreCronjeTech, who really gave his best to remove everything connecting him to project, and everything he has ever done for $FTM and $S. Only he doesnt know how many screenshots of his involvement are around

There has been intense debate surrounding the Beets LP recovery proposal on Sonic. Some points raised are valid; others are sweeping misunderstandings. Here’s a simple, factual explanation of what we proposed and why. A 🧵

We’ve submitted a new governance proposal on Sonic to address losses from the Balancer Composable Stable Pool exploit. The proposal reallocates 27,129,103 S from the remaining airdrop budget to LPs in the stS | wS and wOS | wS Beets V2 pools, calibrated to the scale of the impact. If approved, distributions would be made as locked Aave-boosted wS | stS positions with a 2-year cliff. This approach aims to reinforce long-term Sonic liquidity rather than add sell pressure. To further align Beets with Sonic over the long term, Beets commits to: • Burning S equal to 10% of protocol revenue generated on Sonic over 2 years • Allocating 10% of the Beets treasury (at the time of passing) to acquire and hold S over 2 years • Funding all development and audits required for implementation This proposal is an important step toward restitution and long-term network resilience. Please treat this as more than noise Thanks @euler_mab for the update and for trying to reach out. That said, words matter less right now than concrete next steps we can follow as a community. A few things we (creditors / stakers / users) urgently need to see from Euler and the teams you’re trying to contact: 1. Clear timeline & outreach log. Which channels were used, when, and who at Elixir / Stream / StableLabs was contacted? Publicizing this (redacted where necessary) shows you actually tried and helps the community verify outreach efforts 2. Interim protections. If direct cooperation isn’t possible today, what temporary measures can Euler enable to reduce downside for users now? 3. Accountability mechanism for curators/issuers. Permissionless rails don’t absolve responsibility. Will Euler propose curator bonding, insurance pools, or on-chain remediation paths to prevent this repeating? 4. Concrete recovery roadmap. If the issuer teams engage, what’s the plan recapitalization, staged repayments, token swaps, escrowed settlements? Put options on the table so users can evaluate scenarios instead of guessing 5. Community escalation channel. If you can’t reach them, create an explicit ask: who in the community can legally/operationally help contact these teams? A public coordinator (or lawyer/mediator) would be helpful 6. Transparency on bad-debt accounting. Publish current bad-debt numbers, per-vault exposure, and which markets are truly isolated vs. systemically linked. Data > platitudes We don’t want theatrics. We want a plan we can follow and audit. Silence or abstract promises leave users holding illiquid positions and magnify panic. If Euler is truly “working around the clock,” show us the work: timelines, logs, dashboards, and a list of proposed emergency actions the DAO can vote on today Finally we need accountability. What’s the first concrete step Euler will publish in the next 24 hours?
People have asked me for an update on whether we are working with any of the teams behind any of the insolvent assets. We are not, but we are trying to. Despite multiple attempts to contact the Elixir, Stream, and StableLabs teams, we have not yet received a response and hope they will open lines of communication as soon as possible. If they are reading this, or if anyone can help us reach them, please get in touch. I want to stress that while Euler had no control over the recent events and has no control of the underlying curated markets, our team has been working around the clock to support users and curators in every way we can. We stand ready to provide the same level of assistance to the asset issuers to help facilitate recovery efforts, but they need to engage with us. Although some have reportedly been in touch with third parties and expressed a willingness to cooperate with Euler and Euler users, we have yet to hear from them directly despite repeated outreach across multiple channels. We want to help them do the right thing for affected users and minimise losses and damage as quickly as possible. We therefore urge @elixir, @StreamDefi, and @StablesLabs to get in touch without delay to begin the conversation.

To be clear, me and everyone on Klyra side did not manage strategies at all. Caleb had sole control over funds / strategies Right now we are engaged in the legal process, given there are two main stakeholders (depositors and lenders) how these different claims should be handled has to be answered first before we can send any funds. Sending funds to anyone before that period could be illegal. If you have questions about the case, reach out to the lawyers
