Most people don't know that you can season your coffee cup like you season a cast iron pan. A layer of brown residue will eventually coat the inside of your cup and contribute greatly towards the flavor profile of future brews. Get it by just rinsing with water; dont use soap.

Pete Santilli recently suffered a heart attack and will be undergoing emergency quadruple bypass surgery in the coming days. He is facing a difficult six-week recovery period, and during that time he won’t be able to work or generate income for his family and his show. While Pete heals, everyday bills and the costs of keeping his show running won’t pause. He & his family needs financial support to cover expenses for at least the next two months as he recovers and gradually returns to work. Since 2011, Pete has selflessly raised money for many people and causes, totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars, and now he needs your help. Although the road to recovery will be tough, his surgical team is confident that, barring any complications during the surgery itself, Pete will gradually return to new and improved physical health. With your help, the financial burden will be easier and will give him the peace of mind he needs to keep it slow and steady for the win. Please consider a donation today, be it large, small, or somewhere in between. And as always, please pray for him and for all those who love him dearly during this time of uncertainty. This is not going to be easy for him—to stay still, to relax, and not to worry—but if you know Pete, you know how strong he is. If anyone can overcome such a devastating health emergency, it is Pete Santilli! Thank you all, and God bless, on behalf of Pete Santilli and his entire family, who love you all. givesendgo.com/pete-santilli…

There are moments when an animal seems to understand exactly what is happening. The way this dog stared into his eyes felt like he already knew: “I’m going home with you.” 🥹❤️

Staff Sergeant Daniel Hertz died in a training accident in Germany in February. He was 34. His father, Frank, flew to Dover to bring him home, and on the flight back to Omaha he realized nobody had asked about the dog. Kaiser is a 6-year-old German shepherd. Daniel bought him as a puppy from a breeder outside Stuttgart during his first posting and kept him through two more. When Daniel died, the dog was at his apartment near the base with a neighbor feeding him. Frank is 79 and a retired high school shop teacher. He'd met Kaiser twice, on video calls. Flying a large dog from Germany to Nebraska took weeks. Kaiser needed a vet exam, a rabies certificate, an entry form for the CDC and a crate big enough for a 90-pound shepherd. Only one airline would fly a dog that size that time of year, and the next open cargo slot was five weeks out. In Germany, Daniel's platoon sergeant, Mike Bauer, drove Kaiser to his own house, kept him for five weeks and sent Frank a video every night of the dog lying by the door. Frank had never used email much. His granddaughter set him up with an account, and he spent most of March on the phone with a pet shipping company and the cargo office at the Chicago airport, writing everything on a yellow legal pad. The bill came to about $4,700. Frank paid it out of Daniel's life insurance, and he said that was what Daniel would have wanted. Kaiser landed in Chicago on a Wednesday in April. Frank and his wife drove the 470 miles the day before and slept at a motel by the airport. At the cargo warehouse a handler wheeled the big plastic crate out on a dolly and set it down on the concrete floor. Frank knelt down in front of it and opened the door. Kaiser came out slowly. He walked around Frank once, sniffing his hands and his jacket, the way a dog checks a stranger. Kaiser stopped, pushed his nose hard into Frank's neck and stood there, breathing him in. Frank's wife says he sounds just like Daniel when he talks. Kaiser sleeps in Daniel's old bedroom now, on the floor next to the bed. Every night Frank goes in and sits on the edge of the bed for a while before he turns out the light. This story was published on TikTok by @_blueeyes70. #DemsUnited

Parents: This is not an exaggeration. This happens👇
Every Parent should watch this video. Now I understand why that father followed his daughters to the toilet despite the backlash he faced. We live in very dark times

We have arrived in Baton Rouge. A little later than expected because we had a small car crash on the way. Nothing serious though, everyone is fine. On a positive note, we saw this sign welcoming us back to Baton Rouge. I was on my phone when one of my friends suddenly screamed, “I swear to God, that sign just said ‘Welcome back Freddy’.”

Today is the day we say goodbye to my childhood home. Soon to be demolished by Georgia Power for the data centers. Thank you to ALL of you, we wouldn’t be so gracious about it if it weren’t for all the support.

I was three days away from returning my rescue German Shepherd, Duke. For two weeks straight, every afternoon at exactly 3:00 PM, he would go completely ballistic at the living room window. He’d pace, throw his 90-pound body against the glass, and howl until he was hoarse. My landlord gave me a final warning: fix it or get evicted. I tried blackout curtains. I tried distraction toys. I tried crate training. Nothing worked. Yesterday, I lost my temper. He started screaming at the glass again, looking across the street at my elderly neighbor Mrs. Gable’s house. I grabbed his leash to pull him into the bedroom, but he yanked me out the front door and dragged me straight across the lawn to her porch. He didn't bark at the door. He just sat down and let out one long, desperate whine. I knocked. No answer. I tried the handle unlocked. Mrs. Gable was lying on her kitchen floor. She’d fallen two days prior, broken her hip, and couldn't reach her phone. Duke had been hearing her faint cries through the open window across the street every afternoon when the traffic noise died down. The paramedics said another day would have been too late. Duke isn't loud. He just listens closer than the rest of us. He's sleeping on his bed right next to me, and he's not going anywhere.

After 132 subpoenas + testimony from 43 witnesses… the Nolan Wells grand jury's conclusion? > All markers of accidental drowning > Zero evidence indicating foul play > White friends totally exonerated There were 5 black jurors

I’ve been asked by many about the potential of an upcoming Truckers Strike on Oct 1st. To be honest I can’t give a definite answer one way or the other. But what I can say is. I’ve seen the calls for strikes many times over the years that never played out. From past experience I wouldn’t be hitting any panic buttons.

Brazilian priest João Paulo Araujo Gomes, from the Diocese of Caruaru, takes abandoned dogs off the streets, feeds them, bathes them, and then presents a dog to each mass, to be adopted. Dozens of stray dogs already have a home thanks to the priest.

We were promised lower diesel prices not record high diesel prices.
Truckers who voted for Donald Trump are done with his antics. “There’s no reason for this… My truck’s gonna sit there and rot until this idiot is out of office… I never thought I’d say this but I miss Biden… we’re dying out here and they don’t give a shit…” This president has completely alienated his base, betrayed his voters and sould his soul to Benjamin Netanyahu. Biden? Incompetent. Carter? Incompetent. Bush? Stupid. Trump? Evil.

Ahead of schedule I see... AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS CIRCULAR NO. 213-6 JUNE 1993 TO: SENIOR STAFF AND MARSHALLS THE SUCCESS STORY: OUR STRUGGLE FOR LIBERATION 1. The armed and constant threat of violence forced the white spineless regime to negotiate for so-called peace. 2. The psychological warfare through the churches to create a guilt complex with whites was a victory over Christians. 3. The armed action was a successful method to rip the nation’s economy to pieces and to create panic among the rich settlers. 4. The constant uproar in Black Education is the fourth step to liberation through education because the white regime simply cannot meet all our demands! 5. All four tactical attacks leave the regime powerless and gradually giving in to our demands. 6. All these help to create a feeling of helplessness and despair and to lose confidence in their government. Be careful not to upset the farmers too much before we gain control over the SAP (South African Police) and SADF (South African Defense Force). The constant pressure of violence and economic uncertainty forced De Klerk’s government to accommodate us without a war like in Namibia. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION STRATEGY AFTER APRIL 27, 1994 The greatest fear of the white settler is to lose his job, his farm or house, and all the luxuries. This will enable the new DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT to tax them to the utmost, while our comrades in MK and APLA continue with their part of the struggle. 1. Surplus land will be redistributed among our people. 2. All positions in the public service will be replaced by comrades. 3. The security forces will be reconstructed with our comrades to protect our people. Whites were protected for 350 years. Let them experience being second-class citizens! 4. No ammunition will be available to white settlers. 5. Health institutions will be Africanised, and whites will pay according to their income to enable them to contribute to their liberated brothers. 6. Some white schools will be allowed because most settlers will pay their last cent for white education, and this will provide more money for our people. 7. Pension funds and insurance companies’ contributions collected over the years will be at our disposal for the education of our comrades in the years to come. Note: This is a faithful transcription of the visible document. Words in brackets added for context.
