We suspected this was the reason Ukraine’s access to Starshield was restricted. But to see it from senior officials in this reporting is still utterly unconscionable.
Let’s be absolutely clear about what this means. The Trump Administration deliberately restricted technology Ukraine relies on to intercept Russian drones and ballistic missiles. It made it harder for Ukraine to defend itself and easier for Russia to carry out its deadly attacks against Ukrainian civilians.
They knew exactly what was at stake. They knew that more Russian drones and missiles would get through, allowing Russia to kill even more Ukrainians. And yet they went ahead anyway.
This is a deliberate weaking of Ukraine’s defenses that only Russia will benefit from. It is a betrayal of our ally that this Administration cannot wash its hands of.
The American people deserve to know who made this decision, why they made it, and how they can possibly justify putting more innocent Ukrainian lives in the crosshairs of Putin’s war machine.

.@RepRaskin and I are demanding answers from @AGToddBlanche and @SecRubio about the Trump Administration's decision to intervene both internationally and domestically on the Tate brothers’ behalf — as they face serious criminal charges that include rape and sex trafficking.
I called on Oversight Committee Chairman @RepJamesComer on July 23 to investigate Andrew and Tristan Tate's ties to the Trump Administration, including to Barron Trump. Chairman Comer never responded.
We must remain vigilant and keep pressing the Administration and the Trump family on their efforts to protect the Tate Brothers.

The BBC subpoenaed Jack Smith for a deposition to defend itself against Trump's defamation lawsuit.
Smith didn't object to the subpoena.
Team Trump opposes. buff.ly/cf6GaG2

ALT No one forced Plaintiff to file this lawsuit and to dispute that his speech on January 6 incited the violence that followed at the Capitol. But as long as he chooses to maintain the case, he cannot commit the fundamental injustice of preventing the BBC from obtaining the evidence it needs to robustly defend itself on every element of his claim, including Plaintiff’s burden to prove falsity.

A retired lawyer saw a news story about Trump putting himself on a US coin. “This can’t be legal,” he thought.
So he looked up the law.
In 1866, Congress passed a federal statute banning the portraits of living individuals from appearing on U.S. currency. The law was created after a Treasury official put his own face on money during the Civil War.
The Trump administration recently approved a 24-karat gold coin featuring the president's face — intended for America's 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. The U.S. Mint was prepared to begin production immediately.
So James Rickher — a retired federal employee and lawyer — spent a weekend writing a legal brief. On March 24, he filed a federal lawsuit to stop it.
"It's not just 'Hey, I don't like this,'" Rickher told reporters. "It's against the law."
The Trump administration argues that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has the authority to approve coin designs and that commemorative coins follow different rules than regular currency.
Rickher disagrees. He says the Secretary's discretion doesn't override the statute.
Here's what makes this more interesting — the bipartisan Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee, which normally reviews all new coin designs, declined to review this one. They raised concerns that putting a sitting president on currency could break with democratic norms.
The ONLY time a living president appeared on a U.S. coin was Calvin Coolidge in 1926. That coin was “congressionally authorized” and remains controversial to this day.
A federal judge will now decide. If no injunction is issued, minting begins.
Thank you to James for doing his part

Here’s what @elonmusk and others keep missing: Russia can end this war by stopping its invasion. Ukraine can’t end it by surrendering without losing its freedom.
Telling Ukrainians to stop defending themselves because fighting costs lives rewards the country killing them.
If your “solution” demands courage from the invaded and nothing from the invader, that’s peak weakness. And you need to stop pretending to be some alpha
Elon Musk becomes deeply moved, and deadly serious, when Bret Baier asks him why he called Sen. Mark Kelly a "Traitor" for pushing to send more US aid and weapons to Ukraine.
Watch every second of his response.
"We should have empathy for the thousands of people dying everyday in the trenches. For no movement in the lines. For the past two years thousands of people have died every week for nothing."
"I take great offense at those who put the appearance of goodness over the reality of it. Those who virtue signal and say we can't give into Russia, but have no solution to stopping thousands of kids dying every day."
"I have contempt for such people and I want to make that clear. Because they're virtue signaling and their lack of a solution means that kids don't have a father. It means parents lost a son. For what? Nothing."

Ten years ago today.
In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine, hampering the country's defenses during a devastating Russian attack; and Trump waived sanctions on Russia that Congress, led by his late friend Lindsey Graham, had pushed for.
Now, Putin has proposed a summit with Trump and Xi to decide Ukraine’s fate for them, bulldoze a century of international cooperation, and frame Russia as an equal to the U.S. and China.
We’ll see if Putin’s puppet continues to dance on his strings.

A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children.
I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.

Wyoming lawmakers want Congress to let the Bureau of Land Management kill healthy wild horses. 🐴
State Sen. Ide (R-Wyo.) and Rep. Wharff (R-Wyo.) co-chair a legislative committee.
It's weighing a resolution that asks Congress for three things.
1. Let BLM kill healthy wild horses.
2. Let private landowners capture or kill them with helicopters and vehicles.
3. Bring back federal inspection of horse meat in the U.S.
That would effectively allow horse slaughter here again.
BLM already uses helicopters. This hands that power to landowners.
Congress has said no for years.
Since 2010, it has barred BLM from spending money to destroy healthy, unadopted wild horses.
Since 2005, it has refused to pay USDA inspectors to inspect horse meat.
Horse slaughter in the U.S. has been shut down ever since.
A similar Wyoming resolution died in a state Senate committee in 2023. A 2-2 tie.
Why Wyoming?
About 7,100 wild horses live in 14 herd areas there.
BLM's upper limit for those areas is about 2,500.
Meanwhile, cattle ranchers keep grazing on your land.
BLM allows about 159,000 cows and calves a year in Wyoming.
For $1.69 a month.
One cow. One calf. Thirty days. $1.69.
On land that belongs to every American.
That's about 60 times the limit it sets for wild horses.
In Montana, the admin took grazing permits away from bison. Not cattle.
The Coalition of Large Tribes, more than 50 Native nations, filed a protest.
They called it exactly what it is.
"DEI for cows."
A helicopter roundup is happening in Wyoming right now.
It began Oct 15 in the Red Desert. BLM plans to gather about 1,800 horses.
So far 287 have been captured.
BLM says 7 were euthanized for pre-existing conditions.
The resolution isn't law. It's headed to Wyoming's 2027 session, and only Congress can change federal law.
The committee wants other Western states to ask too.
Congress has refused this for years. Wyoming wants it to change its mind.
If you want to protect wild horses from slaughter, tell Congress. Link is in the first reply. 🐴
