This is murder. This is a murder that was partaken in by the entire political establishment and the NHS. It is a murder of a person for no other reason than simply because she was trans. Nobody will go to jail. Nobody will suffer any consequences. But they all murdered Joelle.

I did a soup kitchen and thought it was really weird how a hundred people were relying on me having a free weekend to get a warm meal while there were dudes with mega yachts
How are any young men left wing I genuinely don’t understand

Today in dystopia, the military-industrial complex is reassuring investors that the wars will indeed be endless.
Asked about the Iran War's effect on defense stocks, Lockheed Martin CEO says: "Investors need to know and understand that this demand is not fleeting — it's permanent."

You don’t want to believe people can be this evil.
This is the attitude behind every racist shitbag on this platform. Part of a little girl’s skull was found near Mackay in Qld. The skull was taken to the local pub. The locals used it as a communal ashtray. Why? Because they thought it was an Indigenous girl’s skill. They felt bad only when it was revealed to be from a white girl’s murder. Forget the spin, forget how innocuous they pretend to be, THIS is who they really are. abc.net.au/news/2026-10-15/m…

What is there to say
From an Israeli intel official in NAZA: “I hack into the phone of a 12 year old girl. If a girl calls her mom, ‘Mummy,’ she says, ‘when are you returning home? Daddy just came back.’ That’s a message that would alert the system bc it contains the words ‘return’ and ‘daddy.’” This builds on @yuval_abraham’s previous reporting on the (incomprehensibly evil) “Where’s Daddy” program the IDF built to learn when fathers were at home with their children so they could kill then all at once (along with anyone else killed in the building during the attack).

things in everyday life AI has made worse: customer service, job hiring processes, Google search functionality, finding accurate info online, relationships with colleagues who use it to read emails & then misunderstand, trust between student & professor, online shopping . . .
In what way has it made your life worse? Is seeing dumb videos that much of a stressor for you?

I think I missed the part where we elected Sam Altman the God-King Emperor of deciding what costs are acceptable to impose on society
“We believe the world should accept some bad things happening for the benefits of this technology.” In a conversation for the first edition of Decoded, a new daily newsletter and podcast, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman talked with POLITICO’s @BrendanBordelon about trade-offs, AI safety, and how his company is different from Anthropic. Very amusing that tech bros do not understand why we hate them. Straight face saying, Look you're going to have to accept that everything is going to change to your detriment and my benefit, your jobs your art, all that is going away, and also maybe you're going to die, but that is a price I am willing to let you pay on my behalf because rest assured that I will be good. This is Altman, Andreessen, Sacks, Musk, Lonsdale, Karp, Zuck, it's all of them. And none of them get it. Boot on your neck asking you, Why are you struggling?

Exactly this. One of the major benefits of “AI” currently is that it launders responsibility
Researcher @timnitGebru says Silicon Valley discourse about the supposed "existential risks" of artificial intelligence is part of a ploy to avoid regulation of the industry. "OpenAI could have been held liable for unleashing malware around the world, hacking Hugging Face, hacking all sorts of government agencies, but instead of doing that and holding them accountable for unsafe security practices … they managed to redirect the conversation to some type of unprecedented rogue machines that don’t exist." democracynow.org/2026/10/1/t…

turning reports of sexual violence into spectacles of debate serves misogynists two ways. they get the cruel pleasure of retraumatising people and it establishes a kind of assumed-cost for people reporting their violence. hard to imagine they don't know what they're doing.

The last 20 hours have been insane. Got more hate than most people get in a lifetime. I want to say a few things clearly. 1. This isn’t new. I’ve faced this kind of hate before because I’m Israeli and Jewish. It still won’t stop me, If anything, it gives me more fuel to keep building my company, keep creating, and keep working to change the world for the better. 2. I’m proud of where I come from. I’m proud to be Israeli. I’m proud to be Jewish. Israel has an unbelievable concentration of talent, creativity and ambition. Israelis and Jews have built a huge part of the technology you all use every single day. The companies, ideas and technologies coming out of this community are shaping the world, and I know that will continue for generations. To every Jew reading this: keep your head up. Be proud of who you are. 3. The support has been unreal. The Jewish community, founders, VCs, friends and strangers who reached out. Thank you. It meant more than you know. And to the haters: you’re amplifying this more than I ever could. Thank you too! 4. I’m not spending the next week arguing with strangers on the internet. I’m spending it building, learning, and meeting amazing people in SF, then NYC. If you’re building or operating in fintech, finance or AI, DM me. I’ll always stand for love and peace for everyone 💛

This is deeply disturbing: Anthropic secretly invited religious leaders to SF to advise them on AI safety, had them sign NDAs, but then primarily tried to convince them Claude has a soul & moral standing, all while wining & dining them to the max.

These companies are burning through cash to develop a technology they’re designing to replace us and expect us to pick up the tab when their stocks crash because they still haven’t figured out how to turn a profit. Say it with me: NO BAIL OUTS FOR BIG TECH!
Reuters just released a sneak peak of Anthropic financials, showing the company reported a net loss of $42 billion in 2025 - and this is before it started losing market share to dirt cheap open source models Anyone still wondering why the company is threatening to end humanity unless the government shuts down their competition?

The homeless woman murdered in Central Park was a beloved artist and birdwatcher who made beautiful pieces dedicated to birds. She went by Lee Rogers, but also was known as Elise Bainbridge Hill. Her art was awesome. I hope her life story is shared and not just the grisly details
