Sid is helping himself to supper at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary

Operation Black Panther update 13 abused and neglected cats and kittens seized by the police last Friday and brought physical and financial crisis crisis to Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary. Here's the latest update. Julienne was assessed this morning by the vet for the horiffic wounds around her neck fue to flea infestations. She has been prescribed strong antibiotics, pain relief and steroids to help her wounds heal and to hopefully make her feel much better. The 4 Peas in a pod, Mushy, Mangetout, Sugarsnap and Tinna also have been assessed today by the vet. Aside of the obvious skin issues they have a lot of other issues to work through over the next few days, however, we do know there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel for them all. We will be doing an update on the Potato Boys tomorrow.

Pixie is taking time for herself in her wonderful foster home at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary now all her 'Mum duties' are done. She is learning to play and exploring new toys each day. She loves to be pampered and have a snuggle

OPERATION BLACK PANTHERS This weekend we have been helping the police with another horiffic rescue. I spent over an hour trying to assessthe cats in the back of a police van " cage" Despise lack of resources and space we were faced with no other option than to help . They had rung every out of hours vet in West Yorkshire and not one could offer a solution. We were contacted late yesterday by police officers who had been to an incident in leeds, arrested severali individuals, were in a volatile situation. Every window in the property was smashed, the windows were boarded and local residents were threatening to burn the property down. On searching the property for the initial incident, the police discovered 13 black and black and white young cats living in appalling conditions in the property. All cats have evidence of severe abuse and neglect.. they all have medical issues and concerns, some worse than others, and they are all receiving emergency veterinary care. Thankfully they are all very hungry and eating well. Roastie, Mash, Jersey, Turnip, Julienne, Cauli, Butternut, Little Leek, Mushy, Mangetout, Sugarsnap and Tinna are all now safe however are lin less than adequate accommodation.
