Making programmable finance on BCH easier
BCH-1 Alumni Update 💡: FlowGuard 🧵
The ParyonUSD integration demonstrates this with a live stablecoin. Payment streaming in a dollar-denominated unit, enforced by covenant, signed by the user.
CashTokens opened the ability to issue fungible and non-fungible assets directly on $BCH. Covenants enabled on-chain logic without custody.
@flowguard_ sits at the intersection for Bitcoin Cash, using both to build Sablier-like streaming, vesting, payroll, and treasury primitives that are contract-backed and non-custodial.
FlowGuard has spent the last month enhancing its Cashtoken capabilities.
Roughly 20 of the 30 most recent commits are CashTokens work, culminating in a two-UTXO vesting covenant that lets teams stream any fungible token on BCH.
What Has Been Enhanced:
- FtVestingCovenant: a two-UTXO covenant design where one output holds the mutable NFT state (status, cursor, recipient hash) and the other holds the CashTokens being streamed
- Full create/fund/claim lifecycle proven on chipnet
- Backend service for assembling FT vesting transactions end-to-end
- Pause/resume/cancel/transfer routes wired to the two-UTXO covenant
- Decimals-aware amounts, users type 100 PUSD, not raw base units
- BCMR token identity in the UI, real token names, symbols, and icons from the Bitcoin Cash Metadata Registry
- Token-aware explorer, airdrop pages, and payment surfaces — BCH sats and CashToken units handled separately throughout
Why This Matters:
The two-UTXO pattern solves a structural problem in BCH covenant design. A covenant output can hold either mutable state or fungible token amounts, combining both in a single output while allowing arbitrary amounts to flow through creates locking and constraint conflicts.
FlowGuard's answer separates the control plane (NFT commitment) from the value plane (FT amounts) across two outputs that the covenant validates together on every claim. Any BCH builder needing to stream fungible tokens through a covenant can follow this shape.
Decimals-aware amounts and BCMR integration mean the product handles CashTokens the way users expect, with real token identities and human-readable values, not raw category IDs or base-unit strings.
$BCH is developing the covenant patterns and token infrastructure needed for on-chain financial systems. FlowGuard's CashTokens work adds a proven streaming primitive to that stack, one that other builders can learn from and extend.

BCH-1 Alumni Update 💡: FlowGuard is now live on Bitcoin Cash mainnet. 🎉🎉🎉
FlowGuard entered BCH-1 with a simple idea: programmable payments on Bitcoin Cash.
Since then, the project has evolved into a broader platform for fund distribution, treasury management, and on-chain coordination.
Over the past few months, the focus has been on completing the core primitives needed for programmable fund distribution.
FlowGuard now supports:
• Payment Streams
• Recurring Payments
• Rewards
• Bounties
• Grants
Together, these components allow projects, communities, and organizations to distribute capital through programmable rules enforced on-chain.
A significant amount of work also went into security.
The team completed a full covenant review across the core contracts and resolved all identified critical and high-severity issues. This included spending controls, payout validation, fee protections, claim handling, race conditions, and wallet security.
Infrastructure was upgraded as well.
The result is a more complete and substantially more secure platform than the one that originally entered BCH-1.
FlowGuard represents an important category of infrastructure for Bitcoin Cash.
As ecosystems mature, capital needs structure.
Projects need grants. Contributors need rewards. Communities need bounties. Organizations need transparent ways to allocate funds and coordinate incentives.
These systems are beginning to move on-chain.
Bitcoin Cash is entering a phase where smart contracts are being applied to real organizational and financial workflows. FlowGuard is part of that evolution.
