Because of Bola Tinubu, Segun Showunmi @SegunShowunmi is now disrespecting the legacy of the late MKO Abiola. He said โ€œABIOLA COMMITTED TREASON AND DESERVED TO GO TO JAIL.โ€

If you have to buy or read only one book now, please read โ€œTinubu: From Renewed Hope To Despairโ€ edited by A S Mohammed. It documents, with facts, statistics and excellent analyses, our experiences since 2023. It provides enough reason why Tinubu must not come back.

Otunba Segun Showunmi @SegunShowunmi is also on the revised Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) list. An APC man thinks that having white beards & issuing threats like a baboon makes him as elder. @officialABAT will be defeated, & the heavens will not fall.
This woman here is Oluyemi Titilayo Adeyemi-Showunmi. She is the wife of Segun Showunmi @SegunShowunmi She was newly appointed by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Director of Electoral Operations at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). You can now know the reason why Segun Showunmi is all out attacking and threatening Nigerians with treason for demanding electoral fairness and credible elections in 2027. Truly, Segun Showunmi has collected rice. What other evidence do you need? PURE CONFLICT OF INTEREST Nigerians must defend their votes by all necessary means necessarily and at whatever cost. I challenge Segun Showunmi to deny this.

Replying to @Riddwane
Make we talk this loyalty matter well, because people too dey rewrite history like say we no get memory. Tinubu loyal? Loyal to who exactly? Letโ€™s start from ground zero. When M.K.O. Abiola and the June 12 struggle dey hot, Tinubu benefit from the movement politically, but when the chips were down, where he dey? Most of the NADECO elders wey suffer imprisonment, exile, and torture no fit point say Tinubu carry their cross with them reach the end. When democracy come back, the same June 12 heroes no see am stand with them to rebuild genuine democratic institutions โ€” instead he build personal political empire for Lagos. Next, Atiku. Na Atiku through the Peopleโ€™s Democratic Movement (PDM) and the Yarโ€™Adua structure bring Tinubu enter mainstream politics. Go check history โ€” Atiku was the political pillar that linked the AD governors to national relevance. But when Tinubu secure ground for Lagos, he switch loyalty sharp-sharp. Na the same Atiku wey he abandon when PDP crisis start โ€” till today, dem no fit sit down trust each other. Then Buhari. This one clear pass sunlight. From 2015 till 2023, Tinubu package himself as Buhariโ€™s โ€œloyal ally.โ€ But when Buhari begin get unpopularity and people start vex for him government, Tinubu begin talk like say e no be part of am. Go check 2022/2023 campaign clips โ€” he literally throw Buhari under bus, say โ€œna me make you presidentโ€ and accuse cabal of sabotaging am with fuel scarcity and naira redesign. That one na loyalty? And if you wan trace back further, Tinubu history dey full of contradictions. Na the same man wey wrote speeches for Abacha, the same dictator NADECO say dem dey fight against. Na the same man wey claim say he dey campaign against Shell Oil and fighting for Ken Saro-Wiwa and the Ogoni struggle โ€” yet at the same time, he dey operate Shell fuel station and enjoy contracts from the same company. So which side he really dey? The activist side or the business side? Tinubuโ€™s loyalty no be to people โ€” e dey to power. Every person wey don align with am, he eventually use and discard once dem no serve him interest again. MKO, Atiku, Buhari โ€” all na textbook examples. So when una dey talk about โ€œloyalty and character,โ€ abeg make una specify which one. Because for Tinubuโ€™s dictionary, loyalty means: stay useful to me or get replaced. Na transactional politics, not trust, not principle, not legacy. This one no be insult โ€” na empirical fact. History dey open book for anybody wey still get sense to read.

The people of Arewa deserve better. They deserve to live without the constant fear of abduction. They deserve roads they can travel without terror, communities where their children can grow up safely, and leaders who treat their security as an urgent priority rather than a political statement. We must stop allowing political loyalty to silence legitimate concerns about human lives. Criticising the failure to protect citizens is not an act of opposition; it is a demand for accountability. No government should be above questions when the people it serves are living in fear. If those entrusted with leadership cannot protect the lives and property of the people, then we must ask a fundamental question: what is the purpose of leadership if the most basic responsibility of keeping citizens safe cannot be fulfilled? The lives of our people matter. The future of Arewa matters. And the right to live in peace and security is not a privilege to be negotiated; it is a fundamental expectation of every citizen. Enough of the silence. Enough of the excuses. The people need protection, not promises. They need action, not political arguments. And they deserve a country where being alive, travelling home, or sleeping peacefully in oneโ€™s own house is not a luxury. AREWA DESERVES PEACE. NIGERIANS DESERVE SECURITY. AND OUR LEADERS MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

An Open Letter to Segun Sowunmi: What happened to the man I once admired? Dear Segun @SegunShowunmi 1. There was a time I admired you deeply. 2. I listened to you defend the PDP and saw an articulate man capable of rebuilding a troubled party. 3. I even hoped you might become its national chairman during the debates surrounding Bukola Saraki and the party's future. 4. But admiration cannot survive every contradiction. 5. Over time, I watched your political positions change like the weather. 6. One moment, you appeared sympathetic to Peter Obi. 7. The next, you attacked him. 8. Yesterday, you defended Atiku. 9. Today, you praise Tinubu. 10. Every change may have an explanation. 11. Together, they leave me wondering what you truly believe. 12. Your praise for Nyesom troubled me most. 13. How does a man who professes democracy applaud political conduct that, in my opinion, undermines its very foundations? 14. Now, your disagreement with Reno Omokri has revived allegations about your former paid role with Atiku.I cannot independently verify the financial claims. 15. But Segun, how are you holding up? 16. Are you okay? 17. If life has become financially difficult, please tell us. 18. We can organise a GoFundMe. 19. I would rather contribute towards your welfare than watch a once admired voice surrender its credibility. 20. I bear you no bitterness. Only disappointment. 21. Politics permits a man to change his mind. It should never require him to change his spine. 22. And a man who stands for everything eventually stands for nothing. 23. I hope you find your way Kind regards, Dr Preach Ojukwu

It was the arrogant bully and man of impunity Wike that drove the coward @PeterObi out of the PDP, same thing heโ€™s doing to leaders in the S-E in the APC today because he wants to project and occupy for 2031! Thereโ€™s no place for the S-E in the APC, they are just numbers to win an election, they see the whole of the region just fertile enough for 25%. Anyone still parroting that ATIKU destroyed the PDP is disingenuous and evil.

We must also remember that Nigeriaโ€™s return to civil rule did not happen by accident. People organised, protested, endured imprisonment, suffered persecution and, in some cases, lost their lives in the struggle against military dictatorship. The democracy we enjoy today, imperfect as it may be, was secured through enormous sacrifice. We owe those who fought for it more than a political system in which elections increasingly become ceremonies to ratify decisions already reached by powerful individuals. We owe them genuine competition, strong institutions, meaningful opposition and the freedom of every Nigerian to make a political choice without fear or coercion. The presidency is not an inheritance. It is not a reward for political alliances. And it is certainly not a position to which anyone is entitled simply because enough governors and party leaders have pledged their support. It is a public trust, conferred by the people for a defined period and subject to renewal only through their consent. President Tinubu has the constitutional right to seek reelection in 2027. But Nigerians have an equally fundamental right to reject him.

ATIKU LAUNCHES โ€˜ASK AAโ€™ PORTAL TO OPEN DIRECT CHANNEL TO NIGERIANS The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has unveiled Ask AA, an information and citizen-engagement portal that gives Nigerians a direct opportunity to ask him questions about his political agenda, record in public service and plans for the country. The portal goes live at 8:30 p.m. today, 15 October 2026. The free-access platform allows Nigerians to submit questions on issues including the economy, security, technology, job creation and Atikuโ€™s plan to make life more affordable. Atiku will respond personally to questions, while his media team will also help provide answers. Powered by technology, Ask AA is designed to help bridge the information gap between voters and the ADC presidential candidate by making it easier for citizens to engage with him and access information about his positions and proposals. โ€œThe objective of this initiative is to bring Atiku Abubakar closer to the electorate through a practical, problem-solving platform,โ€ said Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council. Shaibu added that the initiative reflects Atikuโ€™s commitment to using modern technology to make government more efficient, secure and effective. For communities without internet access, the campaign plans to make the platform accessible through a radio interface. In announcing the initiative on his social media accounts, Atiku said he conceived Ask AA because he believes that โ€œleadership is a two-way conversation.โ€ He said: โ€œFor too long, governance has felt distantโ€”locked behind walls of bureaucracy. But our countryโ€™s greatest resource isnโ€™t oil or land; it is our people. If we are going to build the Nigeria of our dreams, we must start by tearing down the walls between leaders and the people. โ€œThat is why I am launching Ask AAโ€”a direct citizen-engagement platform built for transparency, accountability and dialogue. No filters, no intermediaries. โ€œWhether you want to question my economic record, discuss my policy plans for technology, security and job creation, or share your own recommendations for national progress, nothing is off the table. I want to hear your questions, your policy critiques and your best ideas. โ€œBeyond answering questions here, I will personally call selected citizens who leave their contact details so I can hear directly about their experiences and the issues affecting their daily lives. โ€œA transparent, technology-driven government is not a promise for tomorrow. It begins with how we listen to you today. โ€œIโ€™m logged in and ready. If you could ask me one question, what would it be?โ€ Signed: Phrank Shaibu Director of Strategic Communication ADC Presidential Campaign Council 15 October 2026 โ€“ at Oshogbo, Nigeria
