RELEASE DAY After almost 10 years of hard work, tireless research, and a dive deep into the kernels of computer science, I finally realized a dream: running a high-level language on GPUs. And I'm giving it to the world! Bend compiles modern programming features, including: - Lambdas with full closure support - Unrestricted recursion and loops - Fast object allocations of all kinds - Folds, ADTs, continuations and much more To HVM2, a new runtime capable of spreading that workload across 1000's of cores, in a thread-safe, low-overhead fashion. As a result, we finally have a true high-level language that runs natively on GPUs! Here's a quick demo:

Hey @DamienShields, what do you know about "The World Is No Church"? Was it recorded by Michael? If so, was it recorded during the same sessions with "Fall Again"?

It would be nice to have them in Romania too. We already have big companies like Google, CrowdStrike, Bolt, Adobe, Amazon and Microsoft, so there's potential for huge companies like Netflix or Spotify.

Big news for Central Europe: Netflix announced opening an engineering office in Poland. I’m not surprised, given the success so many tech companies have, hiring in Poland. I’m more surprised few Big Tech have focused on this location (Meta hired remote but not via an office)
This January marks exactly six years since we launched our Polish language service, and we’ve now created over 30 Polish films and TV series, including hits like High Water and How I Fell in Love with the Gangster. Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re also creating an engineering hub in Poland, based in our recently opened Warsaw office. Our engineers in Poland will help build the products that our internal and external creative partners use to deliver Netflix shows and films to members all around the world – hits like Wednesday, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and The Crown. Poland has amazing engineering talent given its excellent universities and strong developer community, and we can’t wait to see the innovation and creativity that comes from our hub here. We are currently recruiting for business application software engineers β€” check out our current openings on Netflix Jobs. See you in Warsaw!

Seems Twitter deleted the old account, deactivated for minimum 13 year old stupid crap (account created in Oct 2009, lost many tweets).
