Early twenties (left) vs. mid-thirties (right)
Getting older is amazing if you build the right habits

You know that uncomfortable feeling that life is going by too fast?
The best antidote for that is discipline and good habits.
"Another year flew by" turns into "I just went to the gym consistently for a whole year" when you're disciplined.
It turns despair into optimism.
I wonder what the psyop is behind this
Obviously, they are not gonna make the average Joe Schmoe live forever and syphon up valuable resources
So why do I see so many promises about reverse aging?

I've tried many techniques to avoid procrastination over the years but the only one that works reliably month after month is following my own self-imposed schedule.
I have my day laid out as recurring time blocks in Google Calendar that I try to follow as much as I can.
How do they make the stuff so delicious?
I tried many different coffee beans, but none come close to Nescafé Instant Coffee.
Yerba Mate is underrated. Gives you a more even caffeine kick than coffee, and you can refill and drink from the same leaves all day.
The house I grew up in.
As a kid, I thought it was boring. Now, it feels straight out of a fairytale.
I just visited it for the first time in 20 years since my mother split up with my stepfather.

I have begun publishing my free article series on the fundamentals of meditation practice. None of this was written by AI. It is just someone who used to teach programming taking a similar approach to sharing what I have practiced and learned for over a decade.
Part 1: Risk and rewards of meditation practice.

You probably don't have adhd, ocd, depression, or an eating disorder; you just allowed yourself to build shitty habits and got comfortable with them.
But labeling them as a mental illness gives you an easy excuse.
Still the only technique that destroys my procrastination and doubles my output
Run & sprint for 15 minutes in the morning
Take a cold shower
Fixes 99% of your mental health issues
Today, I got curious and walked into an open church during one of my walks.
After not even a minute, an angry Karen kicked me out because this event was only for elderly people.
Isn't the whole point of Christianity to be, I don't know, nice and welcoming?
It's crazy how few people I know in real life have anything that even remotely resembles discipline.
Grown men abandon their plans at the slightest hint of discomfort.
Mental resilience is so rare nowadays.
So, my caffeine withdrawal from 400mg > 0mg took 5 days.
No headaches, but I was incredibly tired, unmotivated, and slightly depressed.
However, 5 bad days is not a bad trade-off for 3 months of increased drive and energy.
I'll start cycling it going forward (2 off, 1 on)
I take that back. I still get a buzz from 200mg daily.
200mg seems to be the sweet spot. You don't build crazy tolerance, and by the time you go to bed, most of it is out of your system.
I take it strategically, 2-3 hours after waking up, to maximize its benefits.
Getting lean is simple:
- Fast for the first 6 hours of the day. Use caffeine to blunt appetite.
- Prioritize fiber and protein (i.e., chicken with veggies), especially in your first meal.
- Figure out your TDEE and eat in a small calorie deficit.
You've probably heard of the "Sugar Diet" by now.
Apparently, it's not the high sugar that makes people lose weight, but the low protein.
It can be done with fat instead of sugar, which is healthier and better for teeth.
