This is because the idiots at @BonitasMedical use the debt order 'raise' date instead of the 'effective' date. They run the debit order on the last day of the month before. Its wrong to reflect the 'raise' date on the tax certificate!

Just confirmed with a friend also on @BonitasMedical that his tax certificate reflects the Jan annual increase in Dec. This means bonitas are claiming to SARS that people paid Dec, Jan, Feb at a higher rate! This smells a lot like fraud if its true for every bonitas client!

A company cannot record or "raise" a debt order in December to cover payments due in January and then reflect that amount on a tax certificate for December because the expense or liability becomes "effective" in January. cc @BonitasMedical

This means your tax certificate is wrong as it claims you paid 3 months at the higher rate when actually you only paid 2! This is incredibly dodgy! Please share cc @BonitasMedical 2/2

If you are with @BonitasMedical please double check your tax certificate! Because they 'raise' the debt order a month before you will probably notice your Dec '23 bill reflects a higher amount (the yearly increase that should only appear in Jan) than was actually charged! 1/2
