Slavery was an evil in which people from every continent and region participated. We should be honest about the whole history, not select the parts that are politically convenient today, especially given Britain's leading role in ending the transatlantic slave trade.
If Caribbean countries are asking Britain for a formal apology for Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, will they also be asking the same of the descendants of African kingdoms, rulers and merchants who captured, sold and profited from the trade?
On demands for reparations, whether through cash or debt relief, we have been down this track before. Twenty-five years ago, Jubilee 2000, Drop the Debt and Make Poverty History argued that cancelling the debts of poorer countries would give them a fresh start. More than $100 billion of debt was eventually written off, but many of those countries have since built up even bigger debts. Labour are already spending too much on Britain's welfare state, now is not the time for Andy Burnham to be providing global welfare.
There is no reason British taxpayers today should be held financially responsible for things that happened generations before any of us were born. And I have even less patience for political elites in commonwealth countries who don’t know how to make their own citizens prosperous now looking for another opportunity to blame Britain.
As Prime Minister, Andy Burnham should be Britain’s greatest defender. Instead, he is writing articles saying we need to confront our history (as if we haven't done enough of that) and considering another formal historical apology. Tony Blair already expressed Britain’s deep sorrow and regret for our role in the slave trade nearly twenty years ago. There is no need to do so again.
This is all another navel-gazing distraction. The Commonwealth should be looking forward, not endlessly backwards. That means economic partnerships to make us all richer and deeper military and security cooperation against common threats. If every Commonwealth summit becomes an exercise in presenting Britain with demands for cash then we need to start asking if it is worth the effort.

WOO's main business currently is WOOFi Swap, a PropAMM
PropAMMs are getting a ton of exposure as the industry pushes for hybrid on/offchain computation, better liquidity, and the tokenization of everything.
We just outlined the roadmap for the propAMM internally, which includes more research on private RPC quoting, bundled transactions for cheaper gas, Ethereum block-building, and integration with Uniswap v4 hooks. Need to get all this done ASAP so we can earn more and reinvest into more resources and the $WOO token
This is in addition to a much needed overhaul of the UI/UX to make the app much more usable.

We call on France to exercise restraint when dispersing the freedom fighters on the streets of Paris. These brave warriors for justice must receive immediate humanitarian aid, and their safety must be guaranteed in accordance with international law. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to bring a case before the ICJ, in close cooperation with that renowned champion of human rights, Afghanistan.

ZIG Finance and @worldlibertyfi are partnering to put ethereum:0x8d0d000ee44948fc98c9b98a4fa4921476f08b0d to work across real-world investment opportunities.
ZIG Markets will originate, structure and distribute the opportunities, with ethereum:0x8d0d000ee44948fc98c9b98a4fa4921476f08b0d serving as the settlement and treasury layer across the program.
The first deployment is already live through our PayFi Vault on Concrete, financing short-duration cross-border payment and remittance flows.
But PayFi is the starting point. The broader objective is to build a shelf where ethereum:0x8d0d000ee44948fc98c9b98a4fa4921476f08b0d can move from stablecoin liquidity into real economic activity and back again.
Replying to @ShawnEni
Original $1 for Holocaust-scale intentional group destruction (6M systematically killed).
Assumptions: severity proxy = relative deaths under claimed intent (Gaza claims ~70k ≈1/85 of baseline; Lebanon ~9k ≈1/666). Media frequency of "genocide" claims tied to Israel post-2023 exceeds Rwanda/Darfur peaks by 6-9x in major outlets.
Math: $1 × (severity ratio ~1/100) / frequency factor (~10) = ~$0.001.
One genocide today is worth about a tenth of a cent.

I keep waking up feeling that DeFi is in a strong position
So much of tradfi is moving onchain from payments to neobanks to equities and ETFs
Major crypto primitives like $UNI are capturing a ton of value, buying back their token, and it's absorbing throughout the Dex landscape creating more volumes and buybacks for other dex assets like $WOO
Tokenomics are actually reasonable now (fewer new launches, no low float high fdv games). Old chains and protocols are throwing in the towel and consolidating into Ethereum. VCs aren't investing in 20 new L1s each month at multi-billion dollar valuations
Result:
Space is looking investable again > the current tokens pump > retail and sidelined capital come back
And this time the unlocks are much smaller and offset by real revenues, so the thing won't collapse as much.
Prediction markets and memecoin sideshows are just secondary applications, but further drive stablecoin and crypto adoption (For better or for worse). AI and privacy provide forward-looking narratives for the whole space.
What am I missing here? Economic crash? Geo-political instability? Or just get allocated and let it ride?
