[He rolled his eyes with that signature half-grin, chuckling low as he gave a knowing nod.] “Yeah, it’s come a long way since the early days. I gotta say… I think the original author would be pretty damn proud of the legacy it’s built.”

“Yeah, it really is,” Booth said with a grin, looking proud of himself. “Ya know, your mom doesn’t know this, but The Wizard of Oz has always been one of my favorites too. Total classic.” [He smiled bigger, clearly enjoying every second of this time with his daughter.]

“Hey, one of my favorite musicals! Mind if your pop joins in?” [Booth grinned wide, that big, easy smile lighting up his face as he pulled Christine into a tight hug, wrapping his arms around her like he’d never let anything touch her.]

[A soft smile appeared upon his lips as he crossed his arms and sighed out, shaking his head.] “I love you too, Christine. We will, it’s just that this case has all of us stumped for some reason, and we cannot sleep because of it. So, I’m on my fifth cup of joe!”
