I know that I speak for many on Flat when I say that the Flat challenges have been a big benefit in terms of encouraging people to dig deep and find songs that stretch the limits of imagination and creativity. Without the challenges, I may not have done some of my best work.

I have become a huge fan and user of the synchronization tool. I use it every time I transcribe one of my improvised pieces. It has the added benefit of giving other Flat users the option to follow along with the music to the original recording.

The compositions my 15 yo students are writing are more complex than anything I wrote in university. The access to composing tools like flat.io and GarageBand, have them listening to their ideas, sharing +improving on them too. Not to mention performing them.

Listening to the amazing culminating Blues compositions from the AHL Music class. Students inputted the chord progression and composed their melody in flat.io and then exported into Soundtrap to add their rhythm section and record their improvised solo.
