The GPT-3 paper had 31 authors and 10 of them later joined Anthropic.
8 are still at OpenAI. @ilyasut went on to start Safe Superintelligence.
The scaling laws paper is even more lopsided: 6 of its 10 authors ended up at Anthropic.
We mapped every author of the 10 research papers Anthropic's founders wrote before it existed.

next week, Vishnu and I will be speaking at the YC @ Columbia event.
transformative times call for great ambition.
when your grandkids ask you where you were when superintelligence was born, don't say Goldman Sachs.
a 15 min chat with @agupta at Columbia in 2025 encouraged us to take a bet on ourselves + apply to @ycombinator. i hope we're able to pay that forward.
All you need is
autumn run "do the rest"

I’d like to draw some parallels between AI math and AI chess:
1. There are certain moves that chess engines make that always leave you questioning “why’s it doing that” that just no human would’ve thought of. I’m shocked this has the potential to exist in math (but not really). There are also algorithms to identify computer-like behavior in chess players, somewhat similar to AI plagiarism detectors in essays
2. Ppl who play chess at the highest level can trick smaller engines by playing anti-computer-like chess and win at a higher rate than if they were to use their regular playing style. There are some fundamental differences here but this really makes me think of prompt injecting an LLM or even just hallucinations in general
3. We’ve indexed a lot of chess games and trained engines on them but it really wasn’t enough. Ultimately it was making the engine to play against itself that led to it becoming very good at the game… in the same way that feeding LLMs the entire internet isn’t enough and setting up really good RL environments is what’s really advancing the frontier
There’s probably a lot more that I’m missing here
Things are about to get alien.
Look at this proof. The answer isn't the crazy part. It's how it got there. The key step connects two ideas that no human thought were connected. Mathematicians reading it call it alien math. It works, it checks out, and it still feels like it came from somewhere else.
This is the beginning of alien math. Proofs that are correct but don't think like we do.
And it won't stop at math. Alien physics is next. New ideas about how reality works that no human would have come up with. Theories that work but feel like they came from another civilization.
After that, alien chemistry. Alien materials. Alien medicine. Alien engineering.
We're not just getting faster science. We're getting a different kind of science.
This is the least alien it will ever be.

Loved pitching @autumn_ai_inc as part of the @ainativestudio build-a-thon today! Thank you so much for having us!
in case anyone wants to do it themselves - github.com/flash1405/workos-…
flashed a flight tracker on the @WorkOS init() badge, perfect timing with SF Fleet Week

the goat @DhravyaShah pulled up 30 min after my tweet to get us set up on supermemory.
If this is indicative of their recall latency, very very bullish!

dang they left an easter egg for 2027
We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model.
We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results.
