Labour are letting off some of the most violent offenders in Britain with slaps on the wrist. Take the case of Macauley Thomas. Earlier this year, he entered his pregnant ex-partner's home and berated her young son: 'Where the f** is your mother? I'll f*** kill her'. Then, he went upstairs and strangled his victim with both hands right in front of her children. He only stopped when one child threatened to call the police. He had 8 prior convictions. Guess how long his sentence was? 34 months. Horrifyingly, this isn't unique for British 'justice'. In 2023, offenders with more than ONE HUNDRED CONVICTIONS avoided prison sentences more than 60% of the time. We must tear this rotten system to shreds. As Home Secretary, that is what I will deliver. By rapidly expanding prisons, toughening sentencing, and putting police patrols back onto your streets, a Reform government will ensure injustices like this NEVER happen again.
