Another school year quickly approaching...so excited to be a Seesaw Certified Educator again! @Seesaw
Driving I saw a green traffic light but it was blinking yellow at the same time. I’ve never seen a traffic light do that. Is it a sign? Go but proceed with caution? What area of life am I supposed to apply this message? I wasn’t ready for an existential crisis before breakfast.

Want students to remember something? Ask them to draw it! Research shows that drawing boosts learning by forcing us to process information in multiple ways: visually, kinesthetically, and linguistically.

My students just completed the Three Little Pigs 🐷 Challenge. In a unit on forces and motion, my students were challenged to build a house out of one material that would stand up to the Big Bad Wolf. We used: pattern blocks, wooden blocks, paper, cardboard, cups, clay, & foil.
Tell me Virginia educators, have you read the Technology Plan for Virginia? I appreciate that the VDOE is thinking about how to prepare our students for their life beyond high school.
