modders to devs, huh...
Cyberpunk 2 associate game director Pawel Sasko revealed that much of the game’s staff are actually former modders who CD Projekt Red picked up to work on the highly-anticipated sequel. bit.ly/3TTliVf

Imagine the followup conversation where you tell him that the Yankees have won their division only three times in the last 14 seasons, he would turn into the fucking Hulk
I reloaded my save after this update and had to get my bearings again, then I realized, fuck it, Nomad run once again.
Long live CP2077.

It really all started with that 1.5 update and that momentum kept building with Edgerunners Season 1
🗣️YEAR OF THE MODDER
This is something we've been working on as a small side quest.
We've almost rebuilt the SmackDown 2 game in Unreal Engine 5.
This SDReloaded Engine will be released for Free, open source on Github when done for non-commercial reasons, ghouls don't get any ideas.
Support of @dot_discovery continued support is enabling us to do things like this, so thank you. 👊
Obvious things to clean up (aprons etc), but it's cool to see how they rendered the characters off screen and had them appear in through the tron.

I hope you're not taking my museum analogy literally. It's like a record label living off its legendary back catalog. The old hits keep generating revenue so there's less internal pressure to make another classic. My worry is that the team has developed a similar business model.

Perfect time to pivot and support @PureContender 's development
First they actuvely lie, mislead and don't listen to their core audience, and when people take matters into their own hands, which they do faster and much better than Konami btw, all of a sudden they see it and they take action. Shame on you @Konami

Ok. If you had unlimited resources, what IP would you buy so you could revitalize it??

By championship standards? No. We didn’t win the division or get past the ALDS, BUT we won 93 games with Judge limited to 66 while giving Jones and Lombard Jr. meaningful MLB reps. That’s real progress, even if it doesn’t make the season a success

I said this a few days ago on a Cashman successor:

I know when Cashman moves on, Hal will probably go with an internal pick (Kevin Reese) but if Hal decided on a new voice? Just my picks:
- James Click (Blue Jays VP Baseball Strategy)
- Carlos Rodriguez (Rays VP Baseball Ops)
- Matt Kleine (Brewers AGM)

mind you there's no problem with the Yankees celebrating old glory, it's just that their past can remain the franchise's most compelling selling point without keeping that same energy on leadership to build its future

It's such a wild contrast, like the organization can continuously celebrate what it once achieved even while fans get increasingly frustrated by what it hasn't achieved lately
The Yankees have built a brand that can monetize the greatness of previous generations forever, so how the team is run now only needs to remain competitive enough to keep that historical identity relevant.
The 2023 team finished in 4th place and averaged 40K fans a game, FFS
