Software engineer Sambhav Jain.
Married in 2023 and had a premature child who faced frequent illnesses, leading to heavy medical expenses that forced him into deep debt.
The resulting financial strain triggered severe marital discord, culminating in a 2025 divorce with a total settlement agreement of ₹3 crore to his wife. Had already paid ₹1 crore, he was facing an immediate demand for the next ₹1 crore alongside his mounting medical debts.
Overwhelmed by financial distress and mental stress, he messaged his father stating he could no longer manage the liabilities before jumping from the 42nd floor in Noida.

Today, Sambhav Jain took his own life because he was asked to pay ₹3 crores in alimony. Just for 2 years of marriage.
I want to remind everyone what Atul Subhash said, today a girl can easily destroy your and your family life with help of biased laws and corrupt system.
When will this change? When will people help men and blindly supporting evil women?

Two years have passed, yet there is still no reform in the laws or the system.
Serious questions continue to remain unanswered about gender neutrality, judicial accountability, police reforms and safeguards against misuse of biased laws.
The concerns raised by #AtulSubhash cannot be ignored. He spoke about how men can be treated like an #ATM within a system where financial and legal responsibilities may fall disproportionately on them.
If justice is truly gender-neutral, then the law must protect everyone equally- men, women and children.
Silence is not reform.

Countless men are suffering in India today because of extreme demands by wife and her family when a marriage breaks down
There is literally ZERO RECOURSE for a man and his family if his marriage breaks down and his wife is hell bent on ruining his life
Entire family is implicated in dowry, DV, maintenance cases and they have to do rounds of courts every month, many times in far off cities as wife files cases from her home town. Elderly parents are also dragged along no matter if they never even stayed with the couple
Men in their 30's, 40's are being forced to shell out 50 Lacs, 1 Crore, 2 crore in Alimony settlements - as if money grows on trees for men and their families
Courts are happily encouraging such settlements. Infact courts are siding with women for such settlements. Open bargaining is happening in our courts and every mediation centre has talks of money in 95% cases.
On top of all this, just so many men are like walking deads because they don't get to even see their child in divorce disputes and our courts don't really care. It takes minimum six months for a father to even get a glimpse of his child if wife leaves and doesn't want to come back.
I sometimes am in awe seeing the patience and resilience these men have. I cannot even fathom the pain they carry in their heart 💔
