Stop acting like Texas is a fortress for conservatism. It is a sandcastle, and the tide is coming in.
The District 9 results should terrify you to your core. A 17-point swing doesn't happen by accident. It happens when one side is motivated, and the other side is entitled.
Conservatives in Texas have a "too big to fail" mentality. You think the state is naturally red. It isn't. It's red because people used to vote. That era is evidently ending. If you don't get out and vote, the state goes blue. It is that simple. No complex theories needed.
The apathy is palpable, and it smells like defeat. You are letting the state slip away because you assume "someone else" will vote. Guess what? They didn't. And now we have a socialist senator in a Trump district. If this doesn't wake you up, nothing will.
We will be back in November, but will we have the numbers? Or just more excuses? Tell me I'm an alarmist. I dare you to look at the numbers and tell me I'm wrong.

*30 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters with related equipment and weapons, worth approximately $3.8 billion.
*3,250 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) for troop transport and logistical support, worth approximately $1.98 billion.
*Power packs to enhance the capability of armored personnel carriers, worth about $740 million.

If you choose to receive Social Security early, you take a hit on that payment.
The government decides what retirement age is for us and then punishes us with lesser payments if we don't agree.
They take money from us our entire lives, call it "security," and then dictate when we are allowed to be financially "insecure" enough to collect.
If you collect before age 67 and accept the lesser amount, but also keep working (because that's so much fun), they deduct $1 from your benefits for every $2 you earn above the annual limit.
For 2025, that limit is $23,400.
