I just wanted to say, I'm completely checked out of the cabal-talk and artworks-as-gatcha-machines-rewards, as I've been in a manual labour trans-like state making sofas and armchairs for the studio while lucid dreaming about quantum-proof art and porting DEL to C.
I just wanted to say, I have no opinion whatsoever on the current NFTs-at-major-fairs-and-in-major-institutional-collections-zeitgeist-debate as I’ve been logged off for the past 3 weeks making furniture for my studio/home.

My opinion is that cabals are just people working together and artworks should not be precious things that exist (out)side of the world. If we want blockchain art to be independent, manipulation-resistant, and self-contained, then we should stop using token standards. The vast majority of actors in this space are not interested in that conversation.

The Erased Low effort "NFT" series is my first work on the blockchain. The one that sold the other day was originally minted by @ChampagneMan 5 years ago. Happy to see it in the hands of a new collector. The series is composed of four reenactments of Rauschenberg's Erased de Kooning Drawing with Max Osiris' work. I first read about it in an article: observer.com/2021/03/nft-max…. This specific edition uses a laplacian edge detection filter that highlights the hidden texture of the digital erasure. It’s a nod to a UV scan of Rauschenberg's erasure that revealed traces of De Kooning’s original drawing. At the time I created the series, I was fresh out of university: clueless about what I was getting into. Blockchain art has been my only occupation since, and my practice has shifted in style and format. I think these drawings still make sense today. There are echoes of them in my recent Melancholia series. Reminder of how much has changed.

I was researching artists working with quantum-related themes and of course Pierre Huyghe and Hito Steyerl were the first results that came up

DEL on the cover of Outland's newsletter this morning
posted an Outland newsletter naming some highlights of digital art that have come out since Outland relaunched this fall. the idea was to give readers a little selection of recent works i'm excited about, since the column format restricts the potential to cover art as it appears

DEL is minted out. All 256 artworks were placed during the private sale. Many thanks to all collectors who reached out. It’s encouraging and humbling to see this kind of demand. A beautiful reminder of why blockchain art is such a unique medium and market.
