How come Al is inevitable and we need to adapt and accept it, but renewable energy, tackling microplastics and restoring ecosystems are framed as stupid and inconvenient? The gaslighting from the 1% is top tier.

Spain saved football... for now. 🇪🇸
But make no mistake:
The political influence surrounding this tournament has been absolutely disgraceful.
If FIFA's corruption is allowed to continue unchecked, it will destroy football from within.
The fight is only beginning

🗣️ Luis de la Fuente:
“I’m so happy we won the World Cup. This is the happiest day of my life, thanks to Ferran Torres’ goal. But we also need to talk about the VAR and the referee. I have never seen a bigger robbery in my coaching career than this. It looked like they wanted Argentina and Lionel Messi to win it again so badly.
The referee was practically Argentina’s 12th man on the pitch. In the first half, there were several fouls that he ignored, but the worst was the challenge on Dani Olmo. Mac Allister tackled him with both feet, which is a red-card offense, but the referee and VAR ignored it.
There was also the challenge on Yamal, where a player stepped on his ankle from behind. The referee ignored it, and VAR didn’t intervene either.
Argentina should be ashamed of receiving such favoritism in a World Cup final. They had the officials on their side, but we were fully prepared for everything. In the end, football won.”

Some people view generative AI as a dream maker while others view it as a dream killer.
You will never convince someone to like gen AI if it's stolen their dreams from them.

Pro-AI folks pretend artists are wealthy elitists when 77% of us are freelance, who even before AI didn't know where our next paycheck was coming from and frequently have to hold other jobs to pay the bills during the pursuit of art careers. You're exploiting working class people

Thanks to the AI watchdog, recording artists and producers will start suing AI Music tech companies for training AI MODELS with music creators’ music without their knowledge.
The AI music generator wave is about to end.
This is exactly why I don't support AI-generated music: these tech companies are stealing data from real musicians to train their AI models, and then these untalented AI artists, who can't make it in the music industry, are making money off talented artists who put in the work to make a living with their craft.
You can't make money off talented artists without compensating them for the use of their data. That's stealing.
