We’ve seen plenty of people try to vibe code the php exploit who have no experience in the domain. Failure. Over and over. Then people who know what they are doing in exploit dev, marginal success.
People would say anyone with a frontier LLM can just say “hack this site, make no mistakes” and I won’t argue, some shallow bugs will fall out this way for a while. But the most successful applications of LLMs are coming from experts who at least know how to dissect the problem, change the models thought direction, and have put engineering into harnesses and skills. I’ve seen this across several sub sections of cyber. And that requirement will only get more mandatory as all the shallow bugs shake out. Just my 2c and observation.

one of the most depraved corners of the butthole that comprises “crypto twitter” is the gambling “ads” that fantasize this strange lobotomized utopia in which your entire world is without friends or family or activities, but rather glued to a couch aimlessly losing money.

Palantir's merch feels like the endpoint in streetwear's evolution, which started with young kids in urban areas — mostly ethnic minorities from low-income families — creating their own style from the ground up. Over time, that aesthetic was co-opted by luxury brands seeking "authenticity." And now, by a surveillance company seeking cultural capital.
Streetwear used to be an aesthetic defined by the ground-up by people were disempowered in political and economic life, but engaged in actual street culture. Now it's an aesthetic dictated from the top down by giant corporations with no conenction to such cultures. And used by political and economic elites who want to appear as outsiders.

so you’re telling me there’s a world computer that exists everywhere and nowhere, that no single person or company owns or controls, that anyone in the world can use, that anyone can deploy software to without asking permission, that’s been running continuously for over a decade, that processes billions of dollars in activity daily, that has tens of billions of dollars sitting inside permissionless contracts, that lets complete strangers exchange money and assets without trusting each other, that lets developers build on top of other people’s applications without even talking to them, that enable a type of networked generative art that’s never been possible before, that has no CEO, no business hours, and no off button?
nice.

US road rage killer's sentence quashed because AI video of victim was shown in court bbc.in/4rGHDS4
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The sentence was thrown out because an appeals judge ruled that the video should not have been shown in the original trial. BBC misleadingly implies that the sentence was quashed because of the persuasive impact of the video itself.
