Here’s a nice analysis of 2.5M children about Tylenol and autism. The study found a small association between tylenol use in pregnancy and autism, but the association went away in sibling analysis. In sibling analysis you compare children born to the same mother where one child was exposed to Tylenol but not the other. This is a better comparison because genetics are similar between siblings whereas they differ greatly in non siblings from different families. Bottom line: no increased risk of autism with tylenol use in a huge population analysis. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam…

In case anyone thinks ANY president can declare victory on a major medical advancement from secret information that the broader scientific community is unaware of, that’s literally not a thing. This isn’t how science works and among the reasons that a handful of secret people, no matter what their claimed expertise, should never claim to adjudicate scientific truth — whether via journals or whatever the hell this is

Please urge your local MP to make this happen

The weird thing about "fixing" technical debt is you often need substantial money to basically gut and redo the backend/software, and sensible goal is to have exactly the same interfaces to the users. This feels ... weird to funders.
