Well today brings to an end almost 47 years working in Scottish journalism. It's been quite a journey - from a trainee with the Falkirk & Grangemouth Advertiser to the last 11 years as editor of the Falkirk Herald and group editor of Iconic Media's Scottish weeklies.
Been to @SFRS_Falkirk to get my car washed. Still time for you to go along and get clean car + support a great charity. On till 3pm today.
Relieved that I didn't get it in a knot! But honestly, a great experience to be invited to take part in the 45th anniversary weaving @strathcarron1

I'll never forget the care Rod Moore gave my family on one of the worst days in our lives. His care and compassion helped through a really terrible time. This is so well deserved.

Privileged to be able to share these beautiful words giving an insight into how one family were determined to do all they could to give their daughter a fulfilling life.
"With a much informed and greater understanding of the condition, Down’s people can at last begin to play a role in society to which they are both capable and entitled" - one dad's words on the joy his daughter has brought for six decades.
