The program chairs for FHE.org 2027, David Archer and Rachel Player, have outlined their focus for this year's conference.
This year places particular emphasis on the transition from possibility to practice. Governments and industry are moving FHE out of the laboratory and into procurement decisions, pilot deployments, and standards processes. This raises questions the FHE.org community is well placed to address:
- What are the emerging industry-relevant and industry-scale use cases for FHE?
- What does production readiness mean for encrypted computation?
- How do we transform FHE from a domain where only a few hundred experts can write and debug real applications, to one accessible to the 40 million programmers in the world?
- How do we benchmark and compare real FHE systems?
- How do we pragmatically deploy the acceleration needed to make FHE fast enough for a first generation of deployed applications?
- Where do deployments succeed, and where and why do they stall?
- What are the remaining gaps in FHE as a full solution within a privacy-preserving system, and how do we practically address them?
The Call for Presentations is open: fhe.org/2027/cfp, deadline November 1st.
We're pleased to share that the 6th Annual FHE.org Conference on Fully Homomorphic Encryption will be held In Cooperation with IACR (iacr.org/), for the third year running.
> Seattle, April 4, 2027. Registrations open soon, stay tuned!
> Call for Presentations closes on November 1, 2026 (AoE)
We welcome 2 to 4 page PDF submissions on FHE research, projects, use cases, demos and tutorials. Work already presented at other conferences is welcome too.

FHE.org Software Day starts in one hour.
Four talks, one panel, three hours of FHE software. Here's the full programme (all times CEST):
18:00 – Kim Laine (@Microsoft ): Ten Years of SEAL: What I Learned from Building an FHE Library
18:30 – Guillaume Hanrot (@CryptoLab_kr): Sylph: Scaling CKKS Inference for Llama-3-8B
19:00 – Panel: Developing with FHE: Insights, Challenges, and Opportunities, with Arthur Meyre (@zama), David Archer (@NiobiumInc) and Yuriy Polyakov (Duality)
20:00 – Jean-Baptiste Orfila (@zama): How TFHE became practical
20:30 – Andreea Alexandru (@DualityTech) & Shruthi Gorantala (@Google): FHE Benchmarking Suite
21:00 – FHE.org announcements and closing
Each talk is 25 minutes plus questions. The panel opens with questions from the host, then takes input from the audience, so bring yours.

Our final speaker for FHE.org Software Day (tomorrow, Sep 24, 2026): Jean-Baptiste Orfila, VP of Cryptography Engineering at @zama .
Jean-Baptiste will present "How TFHE became practical", covering the cryptographic and hardware-targeted implementation work that brought TFHE bootstrapping to sub-millisecond latency, all available through a single library, TFHE-rs. He'll also discuss other deployment challenges around security and use cases.
One day to go.

Our panel for FHE.org Software Day (Sep 24, 2026) is confirmed: "Developing with FHE: Insights, Challenges, and Opportunities".
Joining us on the panel are Arthur Meyre, FHE Engineering Manager at @zama; David Archer, CTO at @NiobiumInc; and Yuriy Polyakov, VP Cryptography at @DualityTech, for an open discussion on what it really takes to build with FHE today: the tooling, the performance trade-offs, and where the ecosystem goes next.
Three days to go.
