Did you know that LandGriffon can help companies monitor deforestation risk in their supply chains?

Earth Engine is now generally available on Google Cloud for governments and businesses. So excited to see the impact that Earth Engine enables for this new group of users, and working together for a more sustainable planet.

Maybe I’m nuts but I truly believe that every satellite imagery provider has an ethical and fiduciary duty to give away their archive for free.
…allow me to explain:

We have had 12 unrelenting months of weather disasters, and sometimes that's hard to absorb. But this incredible @PostGraphics piece does just that. By @zachwlevitt @bonnieberkowitz @tierneyl @jsamenow @karlydombsadof and @annekenderdine washingtonpost.com/nation/in… #climate
I wrote a simple python lib for GIS analysis on COGs.
- Combine datasets in different scales & projections
- Preview results
- Chunk analysis and run in a Dask cluster

Recently my Twitter timeline has been completely taken over by artwork generated with @OpenAI's CLIP model. So I figured I'd write a blog post about it. In the blog I follow the evolution of this art scene and present some cool artwork along the way ml.berkeley.edu/blog/posts/c…

with @Esri and @Microsoft_Green, we've been hard at work this past year working on a global land use / land cover map, built with #sentinel2, at 10 meter resolution. today, it's live!
the best part? it's OPEN DATA, so you can get it for free right now!

In case you ever need to make a map of the entire U.S., here's a QGIS template with insets for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, A.Samoa, and CNMI

Excited to share that we're branching out to work on food chain sustainability at @Vizzuality. Reducing impacts isn't simple, but we have a bunch of ideas that we think will make it easier for corporate leaders to plot a path to a sustainable future
We can't solve climate change without sustainable food. To help companies manage these risks and meet #sustainability targets, we’re partnering with @SatelligenceEO & @SEIresearch to build new tools. landgriffon.com
ALT Picture of a green field taken from above. Text on the image reads, LandGriffon. Reach your supply chain sustainability targets.
We see this as building on and complimenting the work we've done together with our NGO partners & clients. Projects like @TraseEarth create transparency and shape how companies think about supply chains
