I still think Levi could have at least considered splitting the Titan serum between Erwin and Armin. We already know that a small amount of Titan spinal fluid can trigger a transformation. Rod Reiss accidentally licked some of the serum after it spilled on the floor, and he transformed into an enormous Pure Titan. That makes me wonder whether the entire vial was really necessary to turn someone into a Titan. If a small amount could trigger a transformation, I feel like half the vial might have been enough for each of them. I’m not saying it would definitely have worked, but considering what happened to Rod, I think splitting the serum was worth attempting rather than immediately accepting that only one of them could be saved.
