Huge money invested by @ETBIreland schools, over the past few years on phone pouches, all empty, as students opted to leave their phones at home. Easier for Boards of Management to enforce school rules & invest the €9 on resources to support Teaching & Learning.

If anyone planning a protest over the crazy plans for @NormaFoleyTD1 to spend €9 million on phone cases will you let me know. I’m still reeling from this one. My son has had no SNA for two years of his primary school education 🤮 what a waste of money!! #Budget2025
Fiona Farry retweeted
Instead of spending €9 million on phone pouches, it could be spent on any of the following:
- 273 SNAs
- 180 teachers
- 167 speech and language therapists
- 160 occupational therapists
- 112 educational psychologists
- 26 Dáil bike shed
