Excited to share this announcement. We’ve built @MagmaStaking what is, as far as I know, the first staking vaults implementation outside of Ethereum which isolates validator risk per vault. Our implementation is built completely from scratch, and we created the design from first-principles specifically for the @Monad ecosystem. We’ve been getting product feedback from validators, funds, and institutions for a long time, and staking vaults are one of the most requested features. Really excited to bring this innovation, it’s been a lot of difficult dev work with @ferrodri_dev and @Diyahir given the short timelines but we managed to pull it off. We can now definitively state that Magma has the most compliant, controlled and technically sophisticated staking smart contracts on Monad. The second-order effects of this feature will play out in our favor when institutions begin to participate on-chain.

Consumer gaming is going to be big on @monad. Whether it's sports gambling or social media betting, there is a clear appetite for these high stakes games among the community. We @MagmaStaking built this app "Nad or No Nad" at @ETHGlobal in Cannes to demonstrate how the gMON LST can gain additional utility for holders and be utilized as a means of payment. Already it is a top 100 contract by transaction amounts on Monad testnet, and single largest consumer of @PythNetwork Entropy for verifiable randomness.

I think it’s important that protocols on @monad_xyz are fully open source with verified Smart Contracts from the start. Currently a number of protocols on testnet are not. For example, @MagmaStaking is the only open source/verified LST on Monad to my knowledge. The biggest weakness of Solana IMO remains the closed-source development culture. Closed source smart contracts invalidate the trust minimization and decentralization of smart contracts which is the main use case for crypto. When smart contracts are closed source you are fully dependent on the developers. If a blockchain is decentralized, but the applications on it aren't verifiable, then users are trusting the devs, not the code. It’s important for the long term viability of Monad to call this out early while the ecosystem is developing, as once closed-source contracts become the norm on a blockchain it is very hard to reverse the trend.
