Three lads who were brilliant all summer had the courage to step up & take a pen when the stakes were high. They deserve support & backing not the vile racist abuse they’ve had since last night. If you abuse anyone on social media you’re not an @England fan and we don’t want you.

Can’t believe how inconsiderate @Ryanair are. Can’t rebook for next year? Can’t have a refund? A stab in the back considering my partner and I are key workers👩🏼‍🏫👨🏽‍💻 We just want to see our family who live in Portugal. #heartbroken

Booing and racially abusing the fine young men that play for our country and have given us so much pleasure and joy over the last month is not being an @england fan. That goes for the pathetic fighting at the ground too. It’s a minority but it’s a loud one and it’s embarrassing.

Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY. Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesn’t look cute on you 💔 Happy Women’s History Month I guess

Never related to a word so much in my life🤯😂
Word of the day is ‘spuddle’ (19th-century dialect): to be uselessly busy; to fuss about whilst achieving little or nothing.
Anyone have ideas on how to encourage Y7s to read? They already have a box of books to read w/ their form tutor in the morning & have reading records to earn rewards. My HoD wants me to run a reading initiative and I’m struggling for ideas🤯 #edutwitter @MrTs_NQTs @Team_English1

Already proposed a “Blind Date with a Book” but it doesn’t seem possible with Covid restrictions..
I got my students to upskill their language analysis by using this structure today: The WORD CLASS "QUOTE" evokes a sense of NOUN and NOUN, as if... The stuff they came up with was mind-blowing! @Team_English1 @FunkyPedagogy Could I ask for some help to crowdsource some more? :)

The 'sn' in 'sneeze' is a historical hiccup. The original word was 'fnese', but someone in the Middle Ages mistook the f for the old form of s, ſ. Fneezing would be a much better sound match.

I clicked into twitter for the 1st time today and my heart sank, so I started typing what was in my head (totally my own experiences & opinions with lots of SPaG errors!) If you’re feeling anger towards teachers and thinking the worst about an entire profession maybe have a read – at Northern Ireland, United Kingdom
