*expensive to start I’ve been asked $1M for a piece of paper. No one cares how you keep the lights on, but you have to make it work. Close friends say I’m addicted to stress. They claim I’m not in for the money but for the serotonin released after cracking through a wall. I’m not sure who to believe:them or myself. They think I always figure it out; deep down I wonder if this won’t be my last. When I get the paper, I won’t celebrate. It’ll be another checkbox, and I’ll be out looking for the next battle.
If I’m honest, I never wanted to enter fintech. It’s expensive to run and regulators are always on your neck. I prefer discreet businesses, clean and silent, the only noise being zeros adding to your account. (Un)fortunately, traveling and facing money movement issues frustrated me despite so many fintechs. I didn’t get how there could be so many fintech startups yet I still faced my problems. Once I see a problem with the solution already in my head, I have to act. It’s like an itch. I had some savings, looked at my age, and decided I could risk one more time.

Explain to them what I know and then tell them I'll hand over to someone who has more knowledge on the service they are asking for.

If I don't know anything I'll directly put them in contact( act as a middle man for the introduction then leave them to it) at the end ask if the other person was able to solve their issues.

I will explain what i know to the client, give the client an insight and then make the client understand that there's a department for that. I'll tell sales to reach out to the client and then follow up to make sure the client is well attended to.

If as an employee, you lack the basic knowledge on what products/processes/Services your company offers, and can't confidently explain them when customers reach out, then your Talent & Aquisition department is failing in their Onboarding, Training & Development process...When it comes to "Sales" every employee should be able to do it at a basic level and at the point where the customer get invested and wants to know more. Then you can politely inform them that you'll be transferring them over to the sales team or relationship manager.
Let’s play a customer relationship game. A client reaches out to you to ask for a service your company offers but someone else is responsible. What do you do? Leave your reason in the comments.

I will acknowledge the client, try to understand exactly what they need, then connect them with the person responsible while staying available to make sure the request is handled. The client reached out to the company, not an individual employee.

7/10 I’ll send the department’s contact 2/10 I’ll attend to them myself if I’m available 1/10 I’ll ask sales to follow up. I believe when clients initiate the contact or conversation it doesn’t feel forced as often time they lead with what they need and it’s easier. I rather not handle it because often times, I get preoccupied and don’t give the client the full attention they deserve so I’d rather the right team handles it and gives the client a better experience. Rare occasions i ask sales to follow if they are an institutional client for example, a parent or so

I would give them appropriate information before handing them over to the best person for the concern

Bro we’re not in a position to assume he is lying just because we think it is a lie. None of us are. Try his services first and if he’s lying then you have valid reason to actually say he’s lying. Not a single person has said that he’s fake or I went there and they ate my money and disappeared. So why do we assume based on our own limitations and prejudices? It could be your business tomorrow or mine. As a community We should be more reasonable than this. Not jump at every opportunity to bring someone down. It’s so disappointing

Everyone obsesses over funding rounds and pitch decks. But the best founders are obsessed with two things: customers and learning velocity.

This is the dumbest thing I’ve read this week The military uses things to an entirely different means. Do you drive your car with death in mind when you go to the office? Are the fucking shooting rpg and drones at you? What in the actual fuck are waffling on about lmfao

So breakeven moves out on purpose. Which fixed cost comes first: staff for the new countries, or a first marketing budget after nothing spent since January 2025?
