Every family should be able to afford the food their babies & young children need.
We're proud to join @Food_Foundation & >100 others calling on the Government to extend Healthy Start to all families receiving UC until children turn five.
#HealthyStart #AutumnBudget
There are some devastating findings in today's #maternityreview at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. We are saddened but not surprised to read that women's concerns about feeding were often not addressed, with direct consequences for their babies 🧵(1/)
We need a new approach to #infantfeeding based on principles of informed choice, consent and patient safety, & an immediate suspension of further BFI accreditations while we ensure that all women &their babies care &support based on their individual needs - not ideology (5/)
Breastfeeding at 6m has risen from 26% to 58% 📈
Great news, but not the whole story.
So, this #InfantFeedingDay, we’re digging beneath the headline & making the case for celebrating mums, not methods.

In 2025 we visited Downing Street with our public petition & our award-winning Formula for Change campaign. Our campaign asks were recommended by the CMA & adopted by the DHSC.
Our advocacy continued with the screening the short film MILK to politicians and policy makers.
2025 culminated in creating the Six Pillars of Infant Feeding framework, defining a woman-centred policy approach.
This marks the start of an infant feeding revolution, with Feed leading the way through evidence-based practice, advocacy, and amplifying women’s voices.
Our Advocate group shaped research & public messaging, ensuring outputs are fit for purpose.
In 2025 our research programme flourished. Our most impactful publication, the Set up to Fail report, highlighted the urgent need for fundamental change in UK infant feeding policy.
In 2025 our CEO Clare Murphy's interview was included in Munchetty’s book. We were recognised for our contributions to women's & infants' health in Scotland. Dr Erin Williams was finalist for SWIB Champion of Women Award. Director Rosie McNee won the Littlejohn Gairdner Prize.
We are the only infant feeding organisation guided by a public and patient group. Our Feed Advocates keep women and families at the heart of our work.
In 2025, we partnered on MILK, a short film amplifying mums’ experiences, winner of the 225 Film Club Audience Award.
FEED were at WFTV Festival, Glasgow last night where Milk was screened.
The reception to the film was overwhelming and we were privileged to represent the film on behalf of director Naomi Waring.
Thanks to everyone who attended & supported Milk and Feed!

We understand that recent infant formula recalls may be causing worry for parents and carers. Our information page explains which products are affected and what you should do.
For a full list of affected batches and more information visit: food.gov.uk/safety-hygiene/i…
Further products recalled. More info: food.gov.uk/news-alerts/aler…
The risk of harm is low, but consuming them could cause vomiting and diarrhoea. If your baby has recently drunk an affected batch and you are concerned about symptoms, contact your GP or call NHS111.
The UKHSA notes that thankfully none of the babies affected are seriously ill and they're monitoring the situation.
Affected batches are here: nestle.co.uk/en-gb/media/sma…
The Danone batch affected is Aptamil 800g pack of First Infant Formula coded EXP 31-10-2026.
Nestlé is recalling specific batches of its SMA infant formula due to potential contamination. More on the Food Standards Agency website:
