Over Β£31,000 now pledged towards my effort to climb Mont Ventoux; 35 months on from full paralysis caused by transverse myelitis. My attempt halted after 2-hours because my legs literally collapsed on the bike, but I went back 4 days later and finished the journey....
Just got out of the race car after my first 90 minute session at Spa - which finished at 12:45 a.m. I've never raced in rain like it - made worse by the fact that there are a considerable number of nutters on track! The spray was horrendous. Out again in 4 hours π«£
Ironically we can't drive my usual Belgian car this weekend, as the organisers banned all cars with roll-cages made by Safety Devices (because they can π€) less than 2 weeks before the event! Screwed up over 20 entries but there are still 111 cars on the grid!
24 hours at Spa starting at 6pm today. Not only will we lose an hour in the night, but heavy rain is forecast from 7:00 p.m. through to about 9:00 a.m in the morning.π«£π«£π«£πππ§πͺβΏ
I knew coming back to the UK was going to be a bit depressing after our holiday and we've been put on a boil water notice this afternoon as the water in my area has been tested as contaminated (following samples taken by the water company). We really are sinking π«£π
This is our hotel from the opposite side of the Bay. I suspect if you were here with a strong enough telescope you might just be able to see me in the bath! πππ
Batwatch (a bit like that Packham bloke - except I'm a far right-wing racist apparently!).ππΈπ¬
It was hard enough sitting down, so I'm now laying on my back looking at the view for the next hour or so! Supertree Grove
