Faxing is so efficient. I know it is from before Alexander Graham Bell (really) but sending faxes to doctor's offices, insurance companies, pharmacies and any place that puts me on hold is fantastic.
They get the message, I get proof they got the fax, they answer when they have time, and I don't have to hold. Most things are answered the same day. Cancel an appointment -fax Sending insurance card images - fax, getting a complete med list from the pharmacy -fax, getting and forwarding medical records -fax. Sending a POA to the bank -fax.
It seems like it is a step back but it goes into some computer queue to be worked like a paper letter and they can't disconnect me, or hang up on me, or say they didn't get my email. Fax rocks.
I ordered flowers this morning by fax, they were there by 11AM.
I don't make burritos at home. I go to a local place. It is $7.50. I get an agua mineral con gas and it is still under ten bucks. It is very good.
I can make burritos at home, I just don't want to. I don't have food delivered to the home except pizza and that is not outsourced by someone who works at the pizza place.
I thought if you were shielded from prosecution, such as given immunity or a pardon, you couldn't invoke the Fifth Amendment in response to questions from government officials? If they can't prosecute you, you can incriminate yourself.

Watch what happened when 20 Americans who had no idea what actually happens to the hundreds of thousands of children of Gaza and Palestinian Territories who attend UN schools. Their ignorant eyes are opened to the lies they’ve been told all this time.
If only millions more knew the truth.
During this month in 1917, a soldier discovers a stray dog wandering around an athletic field at Yale University. That dog would go on to serve in World War I with his friend J. Robert Conroy, the new recruit who’d found him.

I'm tired of performative Catholicism. I'm tired of people waving their arms about during the Our Father. Today I saw some woman with jeans and a hot pink shirt on the altar during Mass with a ciborium, this was before the consecration and before the gifts were brought up. If we need more hosts give them a 2nd ciborium to bring up don't wander around during the prayer of the faithful.
This same person distributed holy communion and had a name tag that said "Liturgical Minister" I have absolutely no idea what that means. Then she got a pyx for the homebound but went back to her seat and sat down. There were perhaps 75 people at Mass and six lay people acting as extraordinary ministers. The priest was visiting, so he said, so he had no control over the circus the Mass at this parish had become. This isn't my regular parish, I sometimes go to other parishes near where I have to be in the county as my job takes me around the county. There was a Maronite at the same time about 8 miles away. I should have gone to that. Probably less performative Catholicism where everyone has to be on the altar or doing something to feel valued.
The internet is filled with performative Catholicism with all sorts of lay people telling me how I'm, or someone else is Catholicing wrong. If I want advice I'll ask a priest.
I'm just weary. I'd like a nice Mass with a priest and perhaps a deacon who do everything including distribute communion with limited singing... can't we just say Amen once in a while without singing.
There is a small monastery near my place in Mexico and I go to Mass there once in a while. It is exactly how I like it. I can participate in the Mass by being at the Mass and not having to perform.
Earthlink @EarthLink is competent and helpful. I was sorting something out for my SIL and they helped get the account sorted out. I was able to speak to a human and the person paid attention and devised a solution.
Thank you EarthLink for not forcing me to AI and for having competent staff. That is so very rare these days.
A big run on hurling sticks today, I have no idea why.

Packed my lunch for work tomorrow so I don't have to pay $28. Turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich, an apple, some carrots, small bag of @UtzSnacks pretzels, some cheese cubes, and a diet coke. Four bucks, maybe five.
Chat support is almost always useless as the humans are doing multiple chats simultaneously.
AI chat support is always useless.
I'd like to be able to buy a (generic) Sudafed without having to show ID. I'd even be happy with a 2 pack of them.
I can vote without ID why not get a decongestant?
