A full-circle Houston story 25 years in the making. π β¨
At a private gathering at St. Johnβs Downtown, BeyoncΓ©, Kelly Rowland, and Ms. Tina Knowles joined Pastors Rudy and Juanita Rasmus to celebrate the grand opening of the newly redeveloped Knowles-Rowland House.
Originally opened in 1999 as a youth center supported by early Destinyβs Child proceeds, Bread of Life, Inc. has transformed the historic building into 31 permanent supportive housing apartments for Houstonians who have experienced chronic homelessness.
What the new facility provides:
β’ 31 permanent homes (including 16 fully accessible units)
β’ Federally subsidized rental assistance
β’ On-site mental health counseling, case management, recovery support, and life-skills programs
From serving Sunday meals as young girls to opening long-term housing, their commitment to giving back to Houston continues to inspire.
