کچھ دن پہلے مالک صاحب کا پروگرام خبر مالک کے ساتھ دیکھنے کا اتفاق ہوا اور شومئی قسمت کہیں سے ان کے کال ریکارڈز بھی ہاتھ لگ گئے۔ ان کے کال ریکارڈ بتاتے ہیں کہ یہ پچھلے چند مہینوں سے آل پاکستان کار ڈیلرز اینڈ امپورٹرز ایسوسی ایشن (APDA) کے سربراہ کے ساتھ بہت زیادہ رابطے میں رہے ہیں اور ان کے انٹرسٹ کے لیے انہوں نے پروگرام بھی کرنے شروع کر دیئے۔ کوئی گاڑی ۔۔۔۔ باقی تفصیلات بعد میں۔
بلاول بھائی جھوٹ بول رہے ہیں۔ خاندان آسٹریا اسی مقصد کے لیے گیا تھا کہ شہزادی گلوریا ہیبسبرگ کے ساتھ ان کی منگنی طے پائے۔ فیملی بھی یہی ہے اور لڑکی بھی یہی ہے۔ تاہم، معاملات میں کہیں کچھ ایسا ہوا جس کے باعث بات آگے نہ بڑھ سکی اور خاندان کو اس کی تردید کا موقع مل گیا۔ حقیقت کیا ہے، پیپلز پارٹی جانتی ہے، خاندان جانتا ہے اور بلاول خود بھی جانتے ہیں۔

پاکستانی عوام مہنگائی، روزگار اور بنیادی سہولتوں کے مسائل میں گھرے ہوں اور حکمران خاندانوں کی زندگیاں عالمی اشرافیہ کے دائروں میں چل رہی ہوں، تو پھر عوامی سیاست کا دعویٰ کھوکھلا محسوس ہوتا ہے۔

Innocent citizens, so far mostly women and children have lost their lives in this act of grisly brutality. They were travelling for Eid.

Nepal has shown that the highest office of the state must not be treated as a walk-in diplomatic lounge. Prime ministers should meet foreign officials through proper channels, with institutional record and national interest at the center. Pakistan, too, should adopt a clear diplomatic code, dignity of office, protocol discipline, and no informal backdoor access.
