Neil Herland, an award-winning veteran journalist at CBC, has been pulled off the air and received disciplinary action.
This comes after he filmed a protest taking place outside a Jewish synagogue during Yom Kippur services.
Neil, who is Jewish, posted it to social media. Shortly after, he was quietly removed from the air by CBC.
Simply documenting a story, while sharing his own personal history as a Jew, Neil was reprimanded.
He wasn't spinning any story; he was reporting on it. The news org he works for wouldn't have that.

Kristin Logan had stage 4 ovarian cancer.
While she was desperately trying to get care, Canada gave her a brochure on assisted suicide instead.
Doctors said that was her only option.
Kristin said no.
She went to Texas to get chemo and surgery, and she's doing great now!
