The first book by James Herriot was published when its author was 54. It wasn’t a great success yet — just a beginning. readino.com/catalogue/book/r…

FBReader 2.2 for Windows/Linux/Mac supports OPDS 2.0 — you can browse Readino and buy, download, and read books directly in the app.
Readino is available as an OPDS 2.0 catalogue. You can open it directly in your reading app (e.g. Thorium). readino.com/api/v1/opds2

Just got an #xteink X4 — curious how it works as an ebook reading device. Might try porting FBReader to it.

Readino is an open ebook store built on EPUB, OPDS, and Readium LCP. Books should be readable across devices and reading apps — not locked into one platform. readino.com/

Not sure. Dropbox would be great improvement, but we have no resources to implement all features as quick as we want.

Try books.fbreader.org/dangerous… Very slow, no progress bar, but does it. Use top right corner menu to check progress.

Hmm, maybe it makes sense. At least the screen is definitely slow. :) Thank your for the idea. Btw, what model do you use?

Please, advice! We are looking for a *low-end* Android phone for testing new releases. Requirements: a modern device (2017 or 2018), Android 7 or higher, hardware as weak and slow as possible.

You're lucky :) You can try 2.9 beta. It is built with new SDK that will be used for 3.0 too. So, if 2.9 works on the device, 3.0 should too.

2.8.13 is the last version, I'm afraid. We will release critical updates if any...
