Did you know that Singapore has the second-tallest building ever demolished in the world? (The tallest is the World Trade Centre)
What's behind Singapore's sky-high demolition spree? My latest story for The Straits Times unpacks the reasons behind our skyscraper tear-downs:

🚲 New research alert! Can we prove that greenery & bike lanes actually increase cycling? My latest paper uses 10 years of London street view data to find out. 1/7
We're developing urban digital twins that give more attention to human aspects. @JunjieLuo21 has built a prototype that integrates visual perception and sets the scene for automatically predicting the perception of various scenarios of new buildings before they are built.
This method and implementation strives to enhance citizen participation and collaboration. More details are available in a paper that was just published in Cities: doi.org/10.1016/j.cities.202…
co-authored w/ @Neil_Liu_2017, Wenhui Xu, and @Tianhong_zhao. Thanks for the collaboration!
A paper by @FanZicheng from our @urbanalyticslab brings a new paradigm: urban sensing via Nighttime Street View Imagery (SVI) 🌃, drawing on the popularity and accomplishments of daytime SVI ☀️, and giving attention to its ignored nighttime counterpart🌛. doi.org/10.1016/j.scs.2024.1…
