The China state-aligned threat actor Storm-0940 used the agentic AI penetration testing framework ARTEX to automate attacks targeting hundreds of organizations globally across a broad range of industries. Microsoft Threat Intelligence assesses that Storm-0940 was responsible for the recently disclosed ConnectWise supply chain compromise of a multitenant application. msft.it/6018aakEE
Our investigation found that Storm-0940's use of ARTEX accelerated the speed of compromised application abuse to authenticate to target environments through applications that had already been granted access, allowing the threat actor to operate without requiring an interactive user sign-in. AI-accelerated follow-on activity included reconnaissance, application credential changes, and attempts to modify privileges that could enable expanded or persistent access.
Read our blog for a detailed analysis and indicators of compromise (IOCs), along with Microsoft Defender detections, protection recommendations, and guidance on investigating service principal sign-ins and unexpected application credential or privilege changes.

手元のDebian13で更新したらPHP5.6から対応してくれてる。
packages.sury.org/php をメンテナンスしているOndřej Surýさんか。
カッコ良すぎる。こういう良心にインターネットは支えられている。こういう人に僕もなりたかった。

Today’s PHP security risks got me thinking about how I could have been more vulnerable with you. Perhaps we can patch things up and be there 4 one another.

Good news everyone!
The absolute legends @ the Sury php mirror have backported the patch all the way back to 5.6

Oh god:
The p384 private keys are randomly selected integers between 1 and 256, the private keys are effectively all-zeroes apart from the last byte

People often underestimate how draining context-switching is. Writing software used to be about doing some laborious planning and reasoning, designing a feature or module, and then getting in the flow and implementing it on cruise control. That was the part where your mind could rest.
Now, with AI agents, you're doing all the mentally taxing parts while letting the agent do the implementation. And what do you do with the extra time you get? Manage more agents, do more planning, and spin more AI agents to work for you. And then you have to switch between the agents, keep track of what they do, and make sure you're still in control.
It is certainly more productive. But it's also very tiring.

I think most people multi-tasking with agents could benefit from slowing down
most of the stuff you're doing wont really matter- what's your P0? what would it look like if you gave it your full attention?

It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.

Ask him to please use salus.cloud/ and avoid this in the future. We are Cape Town based. I could meet him for a coffee.

i've been curious about personal usage and it influences thinking, recalling, decision making amongst other things.
i put together a short survey to explore this. it's anonymous, and questions are optional.

We just completed training Nerve-1, our first AI model built entirely from scratch.
Nerve-1 is a lightweight, ~34M-parameter model trained on over 23 billion tokens.
It’s designed for intelligent routing, deciding how much reasoning effort a task requires and directing it to the most suitable AI model.
It runs entirely on regular CPUs, making routing decisions in milliseconds. We estimate it could reduce our inference costs by at least 30%.
