It hurts deeply when exhibiting manipulative behaviour and still choosing to accommodate because I see the person in their full context. My empathy is misunderstood as weakness rather than my expansive capacity and belief that we must be relational at all costs.
Another reason you SHOULD NOT lie to a neurodivergent person. Neurodivergent people can be VERY UNDERSTANDING …when you tell them your truth. We grew up on the margins, grew up living in nuances, grew up being misunderstood…..we are likely to understand when everything in your life isn’t “picture perfect.” When you lie. You rob us of our ability to show us how understanding and helpful we can be.

TDSB board meetings with me as your Ward 3 trustee would definitely not have performative land acknowledgement and I’d set the agenda and allotted time for it.
When the land acknowledgement hits da club

Reading @GabeOatley reporting and distressed to imagine a student arriving in class without a desk after a disruptive reorganization. But the desk also tells us something bigger about the conditions students and educators are being asked to adapt to. torontotoday.ca/local/educat…

That’s very different from putting students together because the system doesn’t have enough resources, and then asking one educator and our students to make it work. This is part of what I mean when I say: every student should have the conditions to learn.

We cannot keep asking students and educators to adapt to scarcity. As your Ward 3 @tdsb Trustee, I will work to build classrooms around the students who are actually in them and give educators the tools they need to teach them. DM and let's chat – I want to know what you know.

I’d like the arts council funding institutions to know and implement this.
They’re saying 31 is the new 26

Grassy Narrows First Nation has shown me how communities can mobilize and win. Their fight for mercury justice is interlocked with our collective liberation work - lovely to be in company with friends! See you at the action celebrating the closure of the Dryden mill 🍎

Encouraged to see educators acting in principled solidarity with Grassy Narrows and their fight for mercury justice! Next milestone : shut down the Dryden mill
ETFO members and the executive team are marching with #GrassyNarrows youth and community members to show solidarity on their path to mercury justice and freedom! Our union adds our voice to demand that Ontario and Canada: ✅ Compensate everyone in Grassy Narrows fairly for the mercury crisis ✅ End the pollution by stopping the Dryden mill and ending mining and nuclear waste plans that threaten Grassy Narrows ✅ Support Grassy Narrows in restoring their community and way of life from the damage that mercury has done. #onpoli @FreeGrassy
