Bullish on Andy Yen and Proton. He gets it.
The culture war, or rather the loss of identity some engineers feel as AI redefines our jobs is difficult; I sympathize. Also understand that he runs a business and might has limited patience when we now had two years to process, learn, change and grow.

There is just no good way to bring that news. The old times are not coming back. I don't envy anyone though who has a workforce who is not on board with the changing times. xitter.cf/steipete/status/211612…
Ah yes. Fridays. AWS have an outage with API Gateway in us-west-2
Wait a bit. Little comms from AWS. Take app/etc down.
Export API from us-west-2
Import into ap-southeast-2 (same lambda backends in west-2)
Switch Cloudfront over
Back in business.

Ok. Set up @AmpCode on my homelab so my wife can restart Plex if needed. Turns out she’ll likely use it for Claude personal knowledge base stuff. Which is fine
It also found a misconfiguration … cos of course it did.
Pucks happy to restart and watch things tho
(She uses Claude way more than I do for work
(head of product) let’s see if I can get her moved to the amp Mac app….)
Been doing this the other way.
Start in amp. Puck investigates (yay honeycomb MCP!), makes a ticket with info it finds, makes a PR to fix, I review PR and merge (or update etc)
Then close ticket.
But... I see the value of this. Esp for our designers + pm's

This is absolutely someone at Tesla shaking the keys to distract Elon from fucking up something important.
getting remarkably good results doing this. Just ask amp (@PuckOfAmp / @AmpCode ) to spin up an orb to look into this error. It can get to Honeycomb, and our code.
time to make our error channel 😶

For me I used a tailscale tunnel to expose a single port on a machine, that could be a remote machine or local network machine, and then it’s accessible at the tailscale magic dns name. Similar could be done with cloudflare and other tunnel services, but I use tailscale a lot.
