Some US officials working on Syria have been frustrated by the unwillingness of Damascus to take trust-building steps toward Swediaa', However, it appears unlikely to me that this would be translated to a green light for the Druze militias to attack Syrian gov't forces in control of Druze villages they had ethnically cleansed during the 2025 massacre. Israel has largely adhered to the red lines set by Trump on Syria.
Why risk major problems with the administration over something that does not strategically matter to Israel? There are influential Druze officers inside the IDF and other security agencies, who do care deeply about their co-religionists, but for Netanyahu this seems like an unnecessary risk.
