Shocking and devastating Star Wars news today….THE ACOLYTE has been canceled after 1 season. So many plot threads left unanswered. Darth Plagueis. The tie between Vernestra Rwoh and Qimir. Osha’s turn to the dark side. So many more stories to tell #RenewTheAcolyte

The Acolyte has been such a fun show. I’ve loved every episode. So much fun exploring the possibilities of the Star Wars lore. I haven’t loved everything Disney has done with SW, but I love that we’re getting so much of it and that so much of it has been really good. #StarWars

Favorite music album of the year was easily @falloutboy’s So Much (for) Stardust. The Neal Avron-produced album demonstrated FOB’s continued musical evolution with a blend of everything that has made all previous albums so great.

My favorite book this year was Where Are Your Boys Tonight?: The Oral History of Emo's Mainstream Explosion 1999-2008 by @cpayneonaplane. As a longtime fan of @falloutboy and other pop-punk bands of the early 2000s, this book was a fun musical history amzn.to/47lHs2V

I won my first #NaNoWriMo last year, and it was really exciting to finish something, even it it wasn't very good. It was also a fun experience because my teenage daughter and I participated together, and she reached her goal as well. Already 1,300 words in as of this morning.

I'm taking my 13-year-old guitar-playing son to his first rock concert tonight to see @falloutboy. They're our favorite band to listen to when we take drives together, which is pretty often, talking through what makes each song musically brilliant. Can't wait.

It’s getting funny how often an announcement is made that some well-known filmmaker is making a Star Wars movie because now my gut reaction after just as many announcements of projects being cancelled is, “Are they really, though?”
