I took 1 star reviews of #Barbie from furious men on letterboxd and put them on the posters because it makes the film seem ever cooler.
I'm not sure that I mentioned this on here, but I started a full-time job as a designer in January, hence why I've barely been updating Twitter or Instagram and all that jazz. However I WILL be sending a newsletter this weekend inc some behind the scenes drawings for this ✍️
a few sketchy signs from a trip to Budapest last summer. the circular one is the country-wide sign for tobacconists. also the wrought iron cables for the electrical store are a nice touch!

For context. I have illustrated the wine column for @ftweekend for 5 years. They have paid me £275 for 2 illustrations each week since 2019. Recently I asked for a pay rise. They said no.

For my UK-based graphic design friends looking for work! This is a very nice website.

There are so many 'typically German' things that have become normal to me after living here for 4 and a half years. The lack of a smoking ban after 10pm in most bars! Eating ice cream in ALL WEATHER! The humble kohlrabi! So I made a German themed repeating pattern. Here it is. 🍦
I'm currently drawing a map of Leipzig but the reference points are actual relevant in-joke stuff. When was the last time someone said 'it's on the corner of X and X streets' and you actually knew where they meant? No. I'm going for 'the place where I had flies in my juice' etc.
