🌎💧 THE PLANET HAS A MESSAGE... AND IT'S PRETTY CLEAR!
SAVE WATER! (And apparently, make the Earth smile while you're at it!) 😂
Meet Maria Tomas Tomas, a former 4th grader at Fallbrook STEM Academy, whose artwork graces the October page of FPUD's 2026 water calendar!
Every drop counts. Every one of us can make a difference! 💧🌎

🌯 Burrito, anyone? 😂
It's all fun and games until you're the one wrapped up like a burrito!
FPUD employees recently practiced confined space rescue training, including how to safely lift someone out in an emergency.
Pictured here is Isabel, safely bundled into a Sked rescue stretcher by Matt and Austin. The Sked allows crews to secure and extract someone from a confined space.
Because when it comes to workplace safety, there's no such thing as being too prepared. 💪💧

Thanks for bringing the fun to FPUD and Fallbrook Scarecrow Days!🎃🍂 #FPUD #Fallbrook #fallbrookscarecrowdays
Always happy to support our friends at North County Fire! 🚒💧Thanks for having FPUD at your open house. #FPUD @North County Fire Protection District #Fallbrook
🎃 FPUD was proud to be part of the Fallbrook Halloween Festival, bringing local org's together for an afternoon of fun and community spirit!
We especially loved that the festivities included a sensory-friendly experience, helping make Halloween enjoyable for even more Fallbrook kids and families. 💙
Pictured: FPUD's Chad and Christie, holding down the fort (and handing out the treats!). 👻
Big thanks to the Fallbrook Community Center for bringing everyone together!

Dora the Explorer has made a stop at FPUD and is hanging out with Faye! 👋🌾
She arrived thanks to Fallbrook’s creative ScareCREW. Thanks for bringing the fun to Fallbrook Scarecrow Days! 🍂🎃

Throwback Thursday: Your bill, please. 🕰️ Before online payments, before autopay, before paying your water bill in your pajamas... there was this! 😄
A trip to the FPUD office, a stop at the payment window, and your water bill was taken care of.
📸 Can you guess what year this photo was taken? Drop your guess in the comments! 👇

Turns out we know a few water professionals worth appreciating. This week, we’re celebrating the people who keep things flowing, running, and working behind the scenes every day.
@fallbrookwater
It's California Water Professionals Appreciation Week!
All week long, we're celebrating the people behind the essentials services our community relies on each day.
Here's to the crews, operators, engineers, administrative staff, and everyone in between who help keep things running at FPUD!
Meet Hazel, a 4th grader at Maie Ellis Elementary last year. She clearly understood the assignment. 👏
Her artwork is featured on the October page of FPUD’s 2026 What Does Water Mean to Me? calendar, chosen from more than 350 entries from Fallbrook 4th graders!
We think Hazel’s message is pretty hard to argue with. 💧😉 Save every drop, Fallbrook!

THROWBACK THURSDAY: Before Devin was THE guy… he was already making a name for himself. 😎 This 2007 photo captures Devin when he was named FPUD’s District Employee of the Quarter—long before he worked his way up to become our Water Operations Manager.
Today, Devin oversees our water operations and is one of FPUD’s go-to experts on all things water. He’s got the experience, the knowledge and, frankly, probably an answer to just about any water question you can throw at him. 😉
Looks like we recognized something special back in 2007.

You’ve seen the water. Now see what happens to it. Inside an ultraviolet water treatment plant.

Throwback Thursday: When you REALLY want to find something… Aaron and Steve in 2006, proving they were willing to go to any length to find what they were looking for. 🗑️🔎
Now THAT’S dedication. 😂

You’ve seen the Rattlesnake Tank from the road. But have you seen the view FROM the tank? 👀 A pretty spectacular perspective on Fabulous Fallbrook. 🌳💧

Well… the construction isn’t quite finished yet! 🛠️We’ll need to stay closed to walk-in customers Friday, Sept. 18, due to ongoing construction and safety concerns inside the building.
📞 The good news: Customer Service will still be available by phone! We’re sorry for the continued inconvenience. We’re planning to be back open for walk-in customers Monday!
Office Closed to Walk-in Customers Thursday. We'll be closed to walk-in customers Thursday, Sept. 17, for construction work inside the building.📞 Customer Service will still be available by phone.
We’ll be open as usual Friday. Thank you for your understanding!
Throwback Thursday to circa 1978, when getting the job done meant getting down in the dirt—and apparently looking pretty cool while doing it. 😎
This is Harlan, an FPUD crew member out in the field, working on the water system long before today's technology and equipment.
And here's the really cool part: Harlan's son, David, would later join FPUD, too—and eventually retire from the District. 💧
Nearly 50 years later, we're still doing what we do best: keeping Fallbrook's water flowing.

🎨 Awesome artwork alert! A big congratulations to Santiago, a 4th grader at Fallbrook STEM Academy last year and one of the talented winners of FPUD’s What Does Water Mean to Me? calendar contest! 💧
Santiago’s September artwork takes us underwater, where a very cool dinosaur is swimming alongside the fish and other aquatic life. His message says it all: “Living things thrive with water.”
With about 350 entries submitted, earning a spot in the calendar is quite an accomplishment! 🙌
Santiago’s artwork is featured on the September page of the 2026 FPUD calendar.

THROWBACK THURSDAY | Fallbrook, 1981
Before FPUD painted Rattlesnake Tank every year, high school seniors did it themselves — at night, by sneaking up and climbing the 25-foot tank. 😳
It became a “battle of brushes,” with a potential $1,000 fine.
FPUD finally made a deal: Stop climbing. We’ll paint it.
40+ years later, the tradition lives on. ❤
1981: 🎨 “We got this.”
2026: 🧑🔧 “We have a process for that.”
#FPUD #Fallbrook #ThrowbackThursday
IT’S NOT JUST A WATER TANK. IT’S A FALLBROOK TRADITION.
Ever wonder why the big tank up the hill from South Mission Road gets a giant new number every year?
Well… it started with a dare. 👀
More than 40 years ago, Fallbrook High School seniors had a tradition of sneaking up to Rattlesnake Tank in the middle of the night and climbing the tank to paint it themselves. 😳
FPUD staff, understandably concerned about the whole “let’s climb a giant water tank in the dark” situation, eventually struck a deal with them:
Stop climbing the tank, and we’ll paint it for you. And somehow… that deal has lasted more than four decades. ❤️
So Martin, Colter and Matt spent about 7 hours giving Rattlesnake Tank its annual makeover — painting those 25-foot-tall numbers onto the 3.6-million-gallon tank.
🎓 26 → 27
Welcome, Class of 2027! We handled the painting. You handle the graduating. 😉
🎥 Here’s 7 hours of work in about 30 seconds. #FPUD #Fallbrook #FallbrookHighSchool #ClassOf2027 #FallbrookTradition
