The Student List movement began after the collapse of a canopy on a public building project in 2024. It is described as a "leaderless movement" aimed at getting rid of Vucic who was blamed for presiding over corruption in these public projects.
By the same standard FFG could be overthrown by a similar movement in Ireland due to the National Children's Hospital fiasco or the funnelling of billions to cronies through IPAS or other public contracts but this will never happen. And Why? Because they are in alignment with the Atlanticist ruling establishment and Vucic, whatever his faults and failings, was a problem for them. That is the only reason the Student List movement was allowed to gain momentum and it is the only reason that every Atlanticist is celebrating this victory today.

The left wing in Ireland being the useful idiots for big business as per usual.
Irish businesses seeking highly-skilled workers from abroad are to receive a boost from a new government pilot, which will streamline work permit and visa applications into a single process for the first time.

Leftists will insist that Soros is simply a bogey man for the right wing whilst declaring that other billionaires like Musk are controlling politics through their money. The root of this error is found in late nineteenth and early twentieth century definitions of imperialism as a political takeover of government by private capital interests.
The problem with this thesis is that it ignores the role of institutions and the pursuit of geopolitical objectives outside of personal enrichment. Even the actions of nineteenth century imperialists were as much ideological and geopolitical as the were economic. Some anti-imperialists such as Leonard Woolf came to recognise this later in life.
When leftists insist that Soros and his father are merely bogey men it ignores the context of their philanthropy and their membership of a Western ruling class with objectives beyond economics that stretches across many categories of institution. They are working towards goals that are not fully comprehendible through the narrow lenses that most Western critics have been trained to consider history and politics.

Interesting reading. 61 percent of respondents did not deliver on its commitment to prioritise workers. More and more people seeing through the spin from FG & FF while they do the bare minimum on tax every year, ignore impact of inflation and increase public spending.
Irish anti-establishment votes have generally gone to left wing parties, with Sinn Féin especially attracting dissatisfied voters during the last Dáil term. Now they are not.

We have loads of skilled workers in Ireland.
Why are we undercutting their wages and creating more competition for them by importing huge amounts of cheap foreign labour ?

This is ironic because most of the men who have killed women in Ireland this year are foreign men educated in foreign countries.
Yet another woman killed violently in Ireland.
This will continue until we educate our boys and young men about the consequences of misogyny ⬇️

Was chatting with an Indian colleague who told me that Indian people in Ireland find it very difficult to live in shared houses. They're used to living with their family members and not this Irish way he said. He appeared genuinely shocked when I said this isn't the Irish way of living. He seemed to believe Irish people have a tradition or culture of living in house shares with non-family.
Ironic that the more Indians come to Ireland, the more Irish and Indian people are forced into this unnatural and immiserating arrangement.
